About

Dragon Kisser is a single-boss arcade experience designed for short, replayable sessions where you'll need both fast reflexes and charm. Play as Domingo, an ordinary village rooster with extraordinary confidence. Help him dodge, woo, and minigame your way to the most legendary victory kiss in history.
You might think convincing a ravenous beast to stop their daily village pillage might be crazy, but it's actually a surprisingly simple three-step process:
Step 1: Dodge!
Swiftly jump and twirl out of the way of the dragon’s attacks to show her what you got. If you do a well enough job she might just give you a second of her time to hear you out.
Step 2: Romance your way to victory!
Once you've impressed the dragon enough, the civilians will start to believe in Domingo and help him to save their town by throwing him various items to aid in winning over the dragon's heart. Once you catch these items, present them to the dragon to turn the stage over to you and have a moment of the dragon’s undivided attention.
Playing these minigames is how you can earn romance points! But be careful, if you fumble in these key moments, you might just be in more trouble than you were before…
Step 3: Kiss that dragon!
Now that you've shown the dragon your bodacious bravery and suave skills, she presents you with your final challenge: The Gauntlet. A challenge in which you show off all of the charismatic skills you've accomplished in the presentation games all at once in a barrage of minigames. If you pass the gauntlet, then you, out of anyone, rightfully earned the right to kiss that dragon. Congratulations!
A BYU Center for Animation Capstone Project
This project was planned, developed, and tested over the course of a little less than a year, completely through student work, for the purpose of learning how to make games, collaborate as a team, and finish something enough for publication. Because of that, support and continual work on this game is limited to individual team members and their schedules as they move towards graduation. Bugs and issues with the game are welcome to be reported on, but please be aware that many of us are moving on to jobs or graduate school, meaning updates post-release are very unlikely. Regardless, we appreciate your time and feedback.

Well, making a game about a DnD bard, but sending him down the path of Donkey from Shrek, with battle mechanics like Undertale in 3D and some Helltaker vibes... That's brilliant. I'd buy a full game. But there are a few problems: 1) Keyboard controls are off:

First of all, the mini-game controls are spread all over the keyboard, which makes you hunt for them while the mini-game is already gone. You could add a "Press any key to start" prompt for everything except the dating sim and, I suppose, some of the final mini-games.
All the in-game key icons are tied to gamepad controls; I'd really like to see them switch when keyboard keys are pressed, or at least have a choice for this in the settings.
My game crashed during one of the mini-games... I think it was the one where you have to press RT RB LT LB buttons in the right order. While I was mashing random keys trying to figure out what to use (but I kept it far from escape button), it just crashed without any error shown.
2) Visuals are really nice, but the lack or a low level of Anti-Aliasing bugs my eyes. After some watching Idk - maybe something is with lighting and a strange glare along the contour creates this effect. 3) And, well, idk, maybe a slightly more stylized shader would be nice too, but I'm not a tech artist, so I'm not sure. I really liked the game, and I'd love to see something similar but with a steadier progression line - like, now we don't know these mini-games (let's imagine this), but we have to use them and we have to use them fast anyway. It'd be nice to have some explanation (maybe at the "Press any button to start" moment), or even better, an introduction - let the player walk around the fair, hear a few funny dialogues, maybe build up a hook for the dragon or hint at some answers, learn how to play a few mini-games in a quiet state, and only then get into the battle. I'm guessing this is a student project, and I totally understand you might not have had time for anything like that (I had no sleep for two days before my own student pitch, so I get it). But... that's just a suggestion of how I'd like to see it. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe not. Anyway - wonderful job! I hope you all passed with flying colors, and I'll finish the game the moment I get time to dig out my gamepad.
Es una locura que este juego sea gratis. Tremendo de principio a fin.
gra niedługa ma lekkie bagi ale można wybaczyć super się bawiłem
she's hot
I kissed a dragon, and i liked it(?)
This is honestly great! It takes a moment to get into the controls and flow of the battle but once you've got that it's a fun yet challenging short adventure. I wish we would get more stuff like this but I am just thankful that this exists! 🔥🔥🔥
