Required FPS gaming. Over 30 years old and is just straight up better than many modern FPS games I've played. Massive amounts of creativity in here - it's really basic. The limitations of the time are to its benefit in that they really had to think outside the box to not make the levels feel samey - and they don't. The more you are in to the history of gaming, or how games are made, or what games stand on the shoulders of others will make you enjoy playing even more. If you played in the past, run it back. I did and had a blast the whole time once again. If you've never played Doom 1 or 2 I envy you getting to experience it for the first time.

I've played many ports and versions of DooM over the years, and this one is by far the smoothest experience. Install and play: no issues, no obstacles. It does have in game mod support but it's still got some limitations. Nothing will beat the community tools and launchers like GZDoom and such. But if you want to play a level or campaign pack from the community without other overhauls like Brutal DooM, this works just fine. The CO-OP experience was smooth: no sliding, no hit registration issues, and no lag. All good. Getting 100% achievements in this game is easy too, as it allows you to use cheats. It includes all the official levels and expansions that have ever been released across all platforms, including... - Plutonia - TnT - No Rest for the Living (Xbox Live Arcade release) - Sigil 1 and 2. And a brand new campaign, Legacy of Rust, which is extremely challenging. Not for the faint of heart. Really good content though. New weapons & new enemies. Felt like a modded level pack. I'd dare say this is the ultimate classic Doom experience. Highly recommend.

the multiplayer is really dead, best played with friends. classic doom experience but with QOL improvements, worth it on sale imo. comes with a mod menu same like doom eternal so you can download amazing wads you like.
Esse jogo tem um lugar especial para mim — na verdade, toda a franquia DOOM tem um lugar especial. Gosto muito de todos os jogos, até mesmo o DOOM 3, que a maioria das pessoas critica. Como ele fez parte da minha infância, o que eu sinto por ele é mais uma questão pessoal do que algo sobre a história ou os gráficos. Porém, é um ótimo jogo até os dias de hoje. É meio repetitivo, dá um pouco de vertigem por conta da câmera, mas, cara... o DOOM 1 e o 2 são clássicos que, para mim, nunca envelhecem.

It doesnt make any sense, oh wait IT DOES MAKE SENSE BECAUSE EVERYONE IS BRAINWASHED TO LOVE VIOLENCE AND DEMONS AND DEATH AND MURDER. This game released in 1994 still looks very extremely reealistic and depicts large amount of violence and blood and gore. I think its time we burn and destroy every copy of this game that has ever existed so we can start to turn the world back into what is used to be before this violence and disgustings started entering our worlds. The world will become a better place once this is done and there will be no more wars no more Murders and especially no more swearing and violence in school and in the streets.
