Play the enhanced version of the original game released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997. Years have passed since you stopped Hell’s invasion of Earth. Quarantined for humanity’s safety, the UAC research facilities on Mars were abandoned and forgotten...until now.

A timeless classic—truly a blast from thine past. A remarkable experience, and one I fully intend to complete soon.
This one is, by far, my favorite classic DOOM game. DOOM 1, 2, and its additional content are great, but this feels so different and so fun to play. Enemies are a bit different in their behavior and stats, and so are the weapons, but that doesn't distract from what's going on in the game. This one is more horror focused, featuring an ambient soundtrack that creeps me out from time to time (just take a listen to it and you'll see what I mean), dark spaces, and an overall grim tone that the earlier games do not have. I understand that this isn't an id Software game, since it was developed by Midway, but I think that this is some of the best classic DOOM you can play, especially if you find the secret levels and power up the Unmaker, which turns the difficulty into a joke if you get all three demon keys. 9/10 I would recommend, but please know that this game isn't going to be the same experience as the first two.
I recently started getting into boomer shooters, and I've really been enjoying many of the modern additions to the genre over the last decade. I've also played the recent Doom games and had a great time with them, so I figured it was finally time to go back and experience the classics to see where it all began. There's no denying why Doom became such a legendary franchise. Doom 64 still has excellent gunplay, a satisfying arsenal, and combat that remains fast, frantic, and fun. When you're fighting demons, the game absolutely shines. Unfortunately, the action is constantly interrupted by puzzles that are often far too cryptic or obtuse. More than once, I found myself wandering around a level for 15 or 20 minutes, desperately searching for a tiny hidden switch or an obscure path I had somehow missed. As an aging gamer, I don't have the patience or free time for that anymore. Having to stop and look up a guide because of a nearly invisible lever isn't my idea of fun. It's frustrating, and to me, it's simply outdated game design. I'm sure these mechanics felt more acceptable when the game originally released, but in the year of our Lord 2026, they're really starting to show their age. The core gameplay still holds up remarkably well, but the level design often gets in the way of enjoying it. It's a shame because I genuinely wanted to love Doom 64. The combat kept pulling me in, but the constant backtracking and abstract switch hunts eventually wore me down. In the end, I put the game down with no real desire to finish it.
Очень нудная и серая игра сделанная из PNG-картинок. В сравнении с 1 и 2 частями это полный шлак
DOOM 64 isn't just another port—it's a darker, moodier, and surprisingly unique chapter of the DOOM series. The atmosphere immediately stands out. Instead of relying on nonstop action alone, the game builds tension with eerie lighting, unsettling ambient music, and levels that constantly make you wonder what is waiting behind the next door. 😈🌑 Combat is exactly what you want from classic DOOM: fast movement, satisfying weapons, clever level design, and demons that never stop trying to turn you into monster food. Every key you collect feels like an invitation to another deadly ambush. 🔫💥 The modern PC release adds smooth controls, higher resolutions, widescreen support, achievements, and an entirely new episode, making it the best way to experience this classic today. 🎮✨ Some levels can be confusing to navigate, and hunting for switches or keycards may frustrate players used to modern shooters. Still, the atmosphere, challenging gameplay, and timeless level design make DOOM 64 a must-play for retro FPS fans. 💀 I opened one suspicious-looking door... naturally, the room contained about fifty demons who had apparently been waiting just for me. 😂🔥
its doom three in all but name
una verga de juego ojala se mueran los desarrolladores. Hablo completament en serio, y por cierto, me gusta el pene.
A fantastic follow-up to DOOM II, and a solid sendoff to the classic DOOM story and playstyle. Gameplay is almost identical to the previous games, with drastically different visuals, and the music goes in a much more horror-centric direction that honestly makes this game the spookiest entry in the series imo, without losing the fast pacing the series is known for.
