overall boring. the price of this game is way to high but in offer for -94% alright.
It is an ok game where you mix and match different elements together to create more new elements. However nowadays you are probably better of playing something like Infinite Craft instead.

Doodle God: 8-bit Mania
There is no reason to buy Doodle God: 8-bit Mania over the original Doodle God, this is simply Doodle God with pixel graphics, this could've easily been a dlc to the original or any of the spinoffs that JoyBits have crapped out over the years. Worse yet it only includes the first 2 chapters making it an incomplete experience. Do not waste your money on this, not even on sale.
Gameplay
The gameplay is the same as the many Doodle God games that JoyBits have put out, combine elements to create new ones, the only difference here being the 8-bit art style. It only includes the first 2 chapters of Doodle God rather than the 4 total that it's supposed to have, it also excludes many of the features that the steam version of Doodle God has like the elements appearing on the planet, Quests, Artefacts, Puzzles, Tournament and Leaderboards. This game is merely a shell of what Doodle God is.
Achievements (9/9)
The achievements are really easy.
Music/sound
The only positive this game has is the 8-bit Soundtrack which heavily reminds me of some of Terraria's music.
Settings/Accessibility/Misc
Game has an encyclopedia which includes all unlocked elements which can be useful to cross-reference to figure out which elements you don't have. Multiple types of hints. Cloud Saves. In-game achievements page you can reset. Kid-safe mode to censor nsfw elements. 14 languages supported. This retro puzzle masterpiece lets you create entire worlds by mixing elements in clever combinations ! Pixel-perfect graphics, addictive alchemy, and endless creativity make it a timeless gem. A must-play for puzzle lovers! 🧪✨🌟
A shorter version of the original.
Cool graphic design, but it's significantly overpriced and undertuned compared to previous parts. There is simply less items to merge and create, which for a bigger price is absurd.
DOODLE GOD: 8-BIT MANIA - COLLECTOR'S ITEM, is a very simple puzzle game where you combined two items to make a new things. That is the whole game. It is the original "Infinite Craft", but with much less infinite. The logic in this game is quite ridiculous at times, and this is basically a mobile game ported to Steam. It is DEFINITELY not worth full price, and even at a lower price, it isn't quite an engaging experience. If you like these kind of puzzles, there really isn't anything "wrong" with the game. The game is short and at least it has a dictionary of the combinations you already discovered. PROS: - Original Infinite Craft - Simple to understand CONS: - Insane logic - Very overpriced - Quite boring - Mobile port It is nostalgic but not $30 nostalgic.
