About

Doodle Dice Monsters is strategic turn-based battling game where you draw your own characters! Form your six character dream team, then duel your friends in strategic multiplayer combat. Inspired by Pokémon Tournament as well as Silly Band duels using playground rules, every game there is something on the line: winner not only gets epic loot, but gets to take one of the defeated Doodlemon for their own!

Using the draw feature, your team can compose of whomever or whatever you want! A Doodlemon's tier is determined by how long you spend drawing it. You start out with just the default palette, giving you a limited set of colors but unlock more as you play the game! There are no restrictions to what you can draw, so anything you can imagine is possible!
Every turn, swap in a Doodlemon that has not been used this round. Swap wisely to take advantage of type vulnerabilities and each monster tier's unique moveset! Successfully predicting your opponent's moves and creating favorable matchups will help ensure you leave the battlefield with an extra monster in your collection and epic loot in your inventory. I'm not sure if I could recommend this to everyone, but I have been enjoying my time with the game and I think others who enjoy drawing might get some enjoyment out of it as well. The drawing app is nice and being able to battle with your creations gives purpose to drawing them in the first place. I also like the tiering system as it gives value to both detail drawings you put a lot of time into but also gives you reason to just make very quick doodles, especially when they're fun little joke ones. The combat isn't ground-breaking but it's a good blend of having enough depth to engage with while not being too overwhelming. It's makes for a nice justification to spend the time and energy to make the drawings in the first place. The fact the winner gets to take one of their opposing creations permanently is bitter sweet. There is a fun element to having a keepsake of the people you battle against. But it does stink when you're the one loosing the creature, at least when it's one you've invested a lot of time into. But I respect what they're going for with the system and you at least get the option to export any of your creations as an image file. So if you make a drawing you put a lot of time into, it's not like that time is totally wasted if you loose the creature itself. Overall, a fun little time killer, especially if you're a fan of drawing. It is worth noting that this game does have microtransactions. The game by itself is a fair price for what the game offers. But there is also an option to buy in-game currency with real money. Which feels off to me when you already paid money just to play the game in the first place. Not a lot of money, but right in that range to make you question why they're trying to squeeze more out of you in the first place. Granted, you can just completely ignore that shop and not miss out on anything important. But I still feel like it was worth bringing up in case that's a dealbreaker for someone else.

Fun game! It still needs some polishing up in the quality of life department, but the developer is very responsive and has been pushing out bug fixes and updates constantly since the game's release. Things I'm a personally a big fan of in this game include: 1) a super low price 2) a responsive/active developer 3) being able to export your drawings to your computer as a PNG (even after you lose or release them!) 4) a reliable hide image/report function for other players' artwork (though the hide/report icon could perhaps be a bit larger and easier to see) 5) being able to see how many other people have used your creations (and other stats, yay numbers) My luck with dice rolls has always been around the Wil Wheaton level, so I tend to avoid dice-heavy combat systems; however, since the consequences for losing in this game are negligible, I don't feel bad about losing and can just have fun laughing at all the goofy drawings. Note: I'm playing on PC with a drawing tablet. Although pressure sensitivity is not currently supported, using a drawing tablet works just fine with only minor hiccups.
My refund request... The game is rather confusing from the git. And, I wasn't expecting a cash shop. I know this game isn't that much money, but I also almost never ask for a refund. I think this is my first or second time ever. I thought the concept was cool, but in practice it's really not and I don't like the cash shop being there. In a game like this, charge more up front, don't try to nickel and dime me over what is essentially impulse buy garbage.
Honestly had a surprising amount of fun with this game! For such simple mechanics, it made the nearly 5 hours I played it for fly by! I do recommend getting a group together for this. Taking your friends' cherished creatures and getting them angry is VERY funny. As an "artist" myself, I didn't mind drawing 6 characters from the start to even be allowed to battle. 14 minutes total bare minimum between 6 drawings isnt bad! Obviously I'm biased given I like to draw, but maybe a 3 v 3 mode could be implemented for people who aren't as into drawing. Overall this was a very fun experience. If you're an artist and have a few friends laying around, I highly recommend giving this a shot! Hoping to see big updates in the future!
戦闘システムが終ってる、優しめに言ってゴミ、ムシキングのほうが200倍楽しい。
It's fun, even when losing your masterpieces to a small japanese lad.
The main appeal for the game to me is seeing how popular your drawing is. Yes, it feels bad to lose a doodlemon, but at the same time its good to know you made a cool enough drawing that someone else wanted it. There's a neat feature where you can go to an observatory and see the stats of your lost mons, including how many people took it. I like to check on this every now and then because at least my doodlemon gets to see the battlefield instead of collecting dust in my storage. Now you start off with plenty of coins to buy palettes and upgrades. You also get quite a bit of currency from losing. Good change from before.
たのしい! 待機中にお絵描きできると時間に無駄がなくていいと思います
Maybe make matches where monsters can't be stolen, and I want a mode where stolen monsters can be brought back. The effort of creating monsters and the risk of online battles aren't balanced. If a monster I spent 20 minutes desperately drawing gets stolen, next time I won’t bother so much and will just battle with a random drawing. I want to show off my masterpieces while battling. At this rate, the risk of them being stolen feels too big, and I lose the motivation to battle with my best work, which makes me think that maybe I don’t even need to play this game.
