I'm putting my money where my mouth is, I suggested the dev make the game resurface in this very fashion. Kudos for going this route, and not letting this beautiful piece of videogame artcraft fade away due to freemium. For an actual review of the title : This is relatively similar game to Darkest Dungeon, though less complex in some of its mechanics, that doesn't make the game any less fun. The game has it's own personality, it's own appearance, it's own story. This was clearly a labour of love, and deserving of everyone's attention. The price is Very reasonable for the content within. Very easy recommend
I've played this game when it was a live-service (when there was pseudo PvP arena and an incredibly unstable, internet required experience) and I'm glad they managed to push the game into the offline format it should've been. The game is basically Darkest (Furriest) Dungeon 1, but with plenty of unique characters and a story it attempts to rope you into (more on that). It looks good and the core concept is there, but it's unpolished and has a rather rough on-boarding phase for a new player. The tutorial needs to cover the game mechanics. Currently, only the basic combat mechanics are explained, leaving other mechanics, such as leveling heroes, armour polishing, the menu items (like what the 'camp' does) up to experimentation and walking around town, meeting an npc and studying the menu. The story had a wordless, comic style introduction (it exists on their twitter account), and it feels like a missed opportunity to improve really the storytelling. The main story is expressed through characters bopping their heads with various icon expressions, resulting in a tale that fails to engage with the player. There's also minor voice acting for combat narration callouts, but doesn't expand beyond that. The game does do the character design really well though. I especially loved the variety in species and play styles, building teams to counter specific enemies and addressing weaknesses through drafts and equipment. In the game's current state, it's basically in early access quality. It does look like its still being worked on, so I hope to see the quality drastically improve.
Near miss for me - though the art style is cool, its utilisation of picture book story narration makes it hard to immerse/invest in the story, after that you're just killing things that get in your way as you auto travel from place to place... Combat on normal was DD knockoff and felt bland, repetitive and simple. Didn't try hard mode in honesty as I couldn't see it adding much and I wanted a refund... If you like the sound of a Chinese simplified Darkest Dungeon with animals instead of cosmic horror entities, then it is well priced; but it just felt all in all to basic for me :/
The game heavily inspire from Darkest Dungeon. I didn't expect much but the game actually amazing for its price. The game has amazing Art and Visual with unique story telling which remind me of Sdorica. all the characters and enemies are really great both art, mechanic design and skills. The game UI at first is a bit hard to navigate but after a while i get used to it quickly. if you looking for turn-base rpg like DD with dark fantasy art style especially with "FURRY" I recommended to play this! ;D
跑主線,滅團後就死檔打不開了 = =
The game is "fun", pretty straight forward and fun. Has plenty of upgradability. GREAT graphics. Honestly, I'm surprised the reviews aren't better.
