Reviews
一個人的遊戲工作室的作品,流暢度異常的好,內容目前也算多,模式選擇有適合多人的也有適合單人的玩法! 能感受的到作者的用心 而且重點是有繁體中文,推薦給大家
Even though I got the game before launch and helped test it, it felt fully complete, packed with content, and ran without a hitch. The dev listens to the community — just like he did on the previous Dolls game — and it shows, as even my humble feedback was heard. He truly delivered on this one, from the polished combat mechanics to the original dystopian/apocalyptic ambiance. While I mostly played with a friend, I appreciate that it’s also enjoyable solo, unlike most indie games out there. I particularly enjoyed the prison escape map, it was a bit tough but I had a blast running from the dolls (be careful, the dolls can actually hear your mic). There's a lot of stuff to do from the main campaign, skins to collect, achievements to complete (with some easter eggs here and there) and different modes to play. It's easy to see the love poured into this game and the little details the dev took the time to put in. I look forward to more content and hope the quality stays excellent.
(I will be updating this review as I play along, updates include some spoilers of the game and its enemies) After playing for a bit I do like the concept of the game. The skins and animations look really nice. I am looking forward to see more skins made along the development. The stat system and combat is good enough for the current state the game is but I hope more systems/features will be added like a parry and separate weapons with their own stats that are separated form the skins themselves. A customizable host's lobby area with chairs and furniture you can sit on would be awsome. I would love to see the combat system head towards the souls-like games in the exploration mode. I like the movement of the game. The dash and roll feel good. The Energy bar is very forgiving for my liking. Yes, the dash and roll do consume energy, however by the time they come of cooldown the energy bar is already full. In my experience the three hit system cannot shine if most of the combat is hit the monster once and roll away before it hits you back. There needs to be some kind of a openning like a stagger mechanic or the parry. After playing the first stage of the woods map in the exploration mode. I did not interact with most of the enemies, because they are easily avoidable. Their models look great. For now I did not come across any bugs at all, maybe the camera glitching a bit in the prologue. Sadly the community is very small. When I was playing there were no public lobbies at all. The game could use an official discord server for people to meet up and play together. It could also help the dev with feedback. (maybe there already is one and i dont know about it) One more thing to improve the game: The emotes in the emote selector should definitely be named or specified what the emote actually does. Emote 1-10 are not good names. The Dance 1-10 sure, but emotes should have their own specific name. UPDATE 1: I have arrived to the button at the end of the woods lvl. You should press it, it was a lot of fun! I've spent most of my time grinding a bit on the stage 1 for the dolls fragments achievement (btw love the fact that the skin is free after unlocking the achievement). Figting the enemies I have noticed that the crawler enemy can throw rocks at you which is a nice way to punish the player for taking agro of too many enemies, they also have a stagger animation. I did not notice it the first time playing but when the animation plays you can actually do the 3 hit combo on them without being attacked back. The stagger is very inconsistent tho, sometimes it plays, sometimes it doesn't, other times it gets overriden by the enemy attacking first. Suggestions: The health bars are quite small and it is hard to tell how much health the enemy has left. The dmg done numbers are illegible. There should be a setting to make the health bar stay visible all the time in combat. The giant axe wielding doll should be fightable, I did not manage to find a way to dodge its attack. The chase sequence of stage 2 in the woods lvl should have the order of colors randomized. It is pointless to even give the numbers colors if they go in order left to right. During stage 3 parkour I found it difficult to see the platforms because the game is soo dark even with the dark area brightness setting on 10. It might be a problem with my monitor settings but a regular Gamma setting would be nice. Also a unified way of naming the enemies should be added. Like a codex or a room in the lobby with buttons to watch a video about each enemy. I am enjoying my time.
Played before launch as a tester, and the game already felt polished and complete. The developer clearly listens to feedback, and it shows in the smooth combat, unique atmosphere, and attention to detail. The prison escape map was a highlight.
I really enjoyed the game's atmosphere and overall setting. The world of dolls has its own unique identity and offers a unique experience unlike any other. The visuals are beautiful, the dolls are highly detailed, and the skins look fantastic. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys co-op games.
If blowing up dolls and watching pieces fly everywhere sounds fun to you, this is definitely the game for you. ⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠛⠁⠄⠄⠄⠄⢀⣀⣀⠄⠄⠄⠄⣤⣽⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⣿⣿⡋⠁⠄⠄⠄⣠⣶⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⢦⡄⠐⠬⠛⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⡿⠇⠁⠄⠄⣠⣾⣿⣿⡿⠟⠋⠁⠄⠄⠈⠁⠄⠄⠄⠄⠙⢿⣿⣿⣿ ⣿⠃⠄⠄⠄⠘⣿⣿⣿⣿⢀⣠⠄⠄⠄⠄⣰⣶⣀⠄⠄⠄⠄⠸⣿⣿⣿ ⣏⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⣿⣿⣿⡿⢟⣁⠄⣀⣠⣴⣿⣿⠿⠷⠶⠒⠄⠄⢹⣿⣿ ⡏⠄⠄⠄⠄⢰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠄⠛⠁⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⢠⣿⣿ ⡇⠄⠄⠄⠄⠈⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⠄⣼⣿⠇⠘⠄⠁⠄⠄⠄⢻⣿ ⣇⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠸⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠁⠸⠟⠁⣠⣤⣤⣶⣤⠄⠄⠄⢻ ⣿⡄⠄⡤⢤⣤⡀⠈⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡆⠄⠄⠘⠋⠁⠄⠄⠈⠄⠄⠄⢸ ⣿⣿⡜⢰⡾⢻⣧⣰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⠄⣼⣷⣶⣶⡆⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ ⣿⣿⣧⢸⠄⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⢿⡟⠉⢻⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⠄⠄⢀⡀⠄⠘
If you're playing in Escape Mode, DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON! (Or do—it's up to you ദ്ദി˙ᗜ˙)
I spent an hour playing exploration because I don't have anyone to play hunting with yet, and I'm ready to share my first impressions of the release version: First of all, after playing the demo, I was really interested to see what direction the project would take. And I really like the exploration mode, to say the least! It's perfect for relaxing after work. The tasks aren't too difficult, and the mechanics, while simple, are quite entertaining (I got a jump scare from the huge tree of hands emerging from the ground when it emerged next to my doll). I also like the tutorial's presentation; the enemies are interesting and just the right amount of scary (it was fun collecting the moving bombs into the cannon :3). The weapon skins are very beautiful; it's clear the author(s) put a lot of effort into them. The only downside I can think of is that the ambient music is a bit repetitive, but since this is a newly released indie game, this is an extremely minor detail. I would also like to suggest some ideas for future updates: 1. Add quick access to emotes via a customizable emote wheel like in Minecraft, Fortnite, or Apex Legends. 2. Add a survival mode where the player and his friends will have to fight off waves of enemies on a large open map or in a small building with several passages. 3. Separate clothing and weapons (if their unity was not the original intention) 4. Add atmospheric locations to the lobby, like a pier, a campfire, or a tea table, where you can simply sit with friends or randoms and chat. 5. To the previous point. Add sitting animations and interaction animations like hugging, high-fiving, fist bumping, and hitting a friend on the head.
This game is for everyone, whether playing with friends or solo. Each mode features completely different mechanics, making it feel like a whole new game, and best of all, I can customize my character! Really good! What I liked the most is that the game features two different game modes. Hunt Mode is great to play with friends and leads to a lot of fun moments, while Escape Mode also works really well for those who prefer playing solo or with a smaller group, exploring the world at their own pace. Looking forward to future updates!
