About

Your objective is to find the impostor doll, which will play with you to avoid being caught. Perform the following steps:
Find clues and evidence that the impostor leaves behind
Study and analyze their movements
Discard candidates
Find the impostor before 9 AM

The dolls have their own objectives, preferences, friendships, enmities, loves, and hatreds towards circumstances, events, or other dolls.

Traps will help you catch conservative dolls; perhaps tempting them by turning on music or a television will make them react, allowing you to better interpret their tastes and appreciations.

Do not trust their actions; these dolls are much smarter than you think. They are capable of moving others from their place and annihilating other dolls in order to confuse you, especially if you do not know each doll well.
You might assume that everything is over if you find a single doll out of its box. However, it may not have moved on its own; another doll might have moved it, or even moved many others while it remains completely still.

It's extremely important that you keep the door closed; failing to do so could have catastrophic consequences, from letting the impostor escape to altering the order of your eliminations, or even preventing you from making it through the night.

The concept had some potential, but the experience is dragged down by a surprising number of bugs. I ran into animation glitches, gameplay issues, and several moments where things just didn't work as expected. Even when the game was functioning properly, the gameplay felt repetitive and lacked polish. It's hard to recommend right now unless you're willing to put up with a lot of rough edges and frustration.
На первый взгляд — занудно.
Doll Impostor is a multiplayer horror experience that transforms a simple idea into something surprisingly tense and psychologically effective. Instead of relying entirely on monsters chasing players through dark corridors, the game builds its horror around uncertainty and observation. Players are placed inside a haunted environment filled with dolls, but hidden among them is an impostor capable of manipulating the surroundings and creating terrifying situations. The challenge is not just surviving the night, but correctly identifying which doll has become possessed before the danger escalates beyond control. This concept gives the game a constant sense of paranoia that remains effective throughout most sessions. What makes the game stand out is how it uses subtlety rather than nonstop action to create fear. The dolls rarely reveal themselves immediately, forcing players to study their behavior carefully and watch for unnatural changes in the environment. Small details become incredibly important. A doll appearing in a different location, strange noises echoing through the house, or unsettling objects suddenly appearing can completely change the atmosphere of a match. The game constantly encourages players to question what they saw, creating a form of psychological tension that feels more immersive than traditional jump-scare-focused horror games. The cooperative multiplayer structure plays a massive role in the experience. While the game can technically be played alone, it becomes significantly more engaging with friends because communication and uncertainty become part of the gameplay itself. Players debate suspicious activity, warn each other about strange events, and occasionally panic over harmless environmental changes. These interactions naturally create both fear and humor at the same time. One player may become convinced a specific doll is dangerous while another dismisses the evidence completely, leading to moments of confusion that make every session feel unpredictable. Atmosphere is easily one of the game’s strongest qualities. The environments are dark, claustrophobic, and intentionally quiet, allowing tension to build slowly over time. Rather than overwhelming players with constant threats, the game creates discomfort through silence and anticipation. The doll designs themselves are unsettling because they remain expressionless and motionless most of the time, making even slight movements feel disturbing. Combined with eerie sound effects and unpredictable supernatural events, the game successfully creates an environment where players never feel completely safe. Another impressive feature is the way the impostor behaves differently depending on the difficulty level and random events. Easier settings make suspicious activity more noticeable, while higher difficulties introduce far more deceptive behavior patterns. Players may encounter disturbing scenes involving rearranged dolls, cryptic messages, manipulated lighting, or environmental traps designed to confuse investigators. This variety helps the game maintain replay value because players cannot simply memorize patterns or rely on obvious clues. Every session forces the group to remain alert and constantly adapt. The randomized nature of the game also works heavily in its favor. Because events and impostor behavior change from match to match, the gameplay remains fresh longer than expected. The uncertainty surrounding the impostor’s actions prevents the horror from becoming predictable too quickly. This randomness also encourages players to replay sessions with different groups, since human reactions and communication dramatically influence how matches unfold. Some games may turn into careful investigations, while others descend into total panic as players begin accusing every doll in sight. Visually, Doll Impostor embraces a horror style focused more on atmosphere than graphic violence. The environments are detailed enough to feel believable while still maintaining a stylized indie aesthetic. Lighting is used effectively to create fear, particularly during moments where players must search dark corners or monitor suspicious dolls under dim illumination. The game understands that anticipation often creates stronger horror than direct confrontation, and its visual design supports that philosophy very well. The sound design deserves particular praise because it constantly reinforces the tension. Quiet footsteps, distant noises, sudden environmental changes, and unsettling audio cues all contribute to the oppressive atmosphere. The game often makes players fear something is about to happen even when nothing immediately dangerous is present. This ability to create psychological pressure through sound alone helps separate it from many lower-budget multiplayer horror titles that rely too heavily on repetitive jump scares. Despite its strengths, the gameplay loop can become repetitive after extended sessions. The central objective rarely changes dramatically, and players who are not heavily invested in multiplayer horror may eventually feel that the formula lacks enough variety. Solo play also lacks much of the unpredictability and social tension that make cooperative matches entertaining. Technical inconsistencies and balancing issues occasionally affect the experience as well, which is common among smaller indie multiplayer games still evolving through updates. Even with these flaws, Doll Impostor succeeds because it understands how to make players feel uncomfortable through uncertainty rather than brute-force horror tactics. The game turns ordinary dolls into objects of suspicion and fear, creating an experience where every movement or environmental change becomes potentially dangerous. Its combination of deduction mechanics, randomized horror events, and cooperative tension gives it a distinct identity among modern multiplayer horror games. For players who enjoy psychological horror, social deduction elements, and cooperative experiences built around tension and paranoia, Doll Impostor offers a memorable and creative experience. It may not completely reinvent the horror genre, but its focus on observation, communication, and unpredictable supernatural behavior allows it to stand out from many generic indie horror releases. The game delivers a strong atmosphere, entertaining multiplayer chaos, and enough unsettling moments to keep players constantly second-guessing what they are seeing. Rating: 8/10

I Like the game could be better if you could refuse a contract once a day, if the map boarders were more open and defined, for example the circus and cabin in the woods. Also if there were more ineractive thing in the lobby, other than that really a fun and unique gameplay experience.

Is it scary? Not at all. Did my cat rubbing against my leg while I was playing the game make me fall out of the chair in a blind panic... maybe... The two are NOT connected. The game is a lot more fun than I had expected it to be. I honestly just expected it to be a game I would play once or twice and them just put away for good. But the updates come pretty often and new features are always surprising me. The new dolls are Sooooo...Cute... (Although honestly when I walk in the room and they are riding on the little toy cars I honestly melted. It was unexpected.) Anyways. Play the game! You wont be scared at all. Unless you have a cat.. Or anything else that can sneak up on you.
It´s fun. If I remember right, I got this while it was on discount. Even with full price i would say its definitely worth to try. At first it took some time to really understand the game and when i did, it felt almost too easy. But then after unlocking more difficulties and stages, the game has more to offer. I´ve been playing solo, but hopefully co-op one day. Some stages are quite large and with higher difficulties it might be more enjoyable with more people. But so far it has been really fun alone too. Using the chat feature to make notes is very useful. What I really like about this, there is no timer and you won't get killed randomly unless you make one dumb mistake (i did that mistake many times). I haven't unlocked all the difficulties and stages so at least when you start the game, it gives you all the time to figure out how everything works.
Сидят четыре сторожа ночью над куклами. – Среди нас кукла-самозванец. Голосуем, кто. – Да вон та всю ночь молчит, не моргает и пялится в одну точку. – Дебил, это Вася. Он живой. Кажется.
