I went into this game expecting a decent visual novel and ended up with one of the most creative, memorable experiences I've ever had. It's genuinely one of those games that sticks with you long after you finish it. The way it plays with your expectations is something I'd never seen before, and it's the kind of game I wish I could experience for the first time again. And I haven't even started talking about the community and the mods. Seriously, the amount of talent and passion people have put into expanding this game is unreal. There are so many incredible fan-made stories that feel like they were made with just as much care as the original. Some of them are funny, some are emotional, and some completely surprised me. As cheesy as it sounds, this community and its mods genuinely opened my eyes and changed the course of my life. They got me interested in things I never thought I'd care about, introduced me to amazing people, and left a lasting impact on me. That's not something I can say about many games. The game can also be genuinely heartbreaking and shocking at times. It tackles some very heavy themes and there are moments that hit a lot harder than I expected. Because of that, I'd only recommend it to people who are in a good headspace and feel emotionally prepared for that kind of experience. If you're even remotely interested in story-driven games, go in blind and avoid spoilers at all costs. It's a one-of-a-kind experience that deserves every bit of praise it gets. I don't think there will ever be another game quite like it.
