It feels like he put more time and creativity into the trailer for the game than the actual game itself. When people say its short I didn't think they meant literally 15 minutes short! The gameplay mainly consists of just running into repeating sprites of food, and avoiding the ones that your not supposed to give dogs. Not even basic controller support, so as much as I love the shorts on Youtube and want to support the creator, this just isn't it sorry.
Happy release day, Mr. Joe! Funny, art is good, music is good, and creator's other things are great. However, I'm only leaving a positive review to support and encourage the creator to make another game. A *better* longer one. The 15 minutes of gameplay are NOT worth 4 dollars, or 3 on sale. Seriously, only buy this game if you want to support the creator (which is valid! I'd rather donate and receive a gameboy game than donate and receive nothing). The casino level's game design blows total ass though. Seriously if that level was as fair as the rest of the game it would be 5 minutes which is absolutely unacceptable for any officially-released game that costs anything over 50 cents. (ideally free) Once again wishing you a smooth launch and I'd love to see you make a "DoW Advance" with better balancing and a longer adventure!

I've seen nobody mention this in a negative review but it needs to be said. This is a blatant rerelease of a FREE gameboy game Joe made back in October of 2025. He released it on Itch to coincide with the release of his video "Joe, Direct", which was a video essentially restating he had a patreon and emphasizing that support is the only way he can continue doing what he loves. I don't hate Joe, he makes good animations, he makes fun videos, he seems like a cool guy. But releasing a free game you made almost a year ago for $4 on steam while that free alternative is STILL AVAILABLE ON ITCH, is scummy. It would be fine if he stated anywhere that this game had already released on Itch, but he didn't. Scamming your fans isn't the way to go, man. Strive to be better. I would've appreciated it if you added more levels, then it would be worth paying for. Outside of the scummy nature of the release, the game is fine at best, I recommend playing it on gameboy advance hardware using the rom buried in the game files for the best experience. I have steam support on speed-dial. Refunding this.
Ooof, I can barely recommend it. The commercial is honestly better than the game, that’s for sure. I love the art style, but the controls are pretty janky like in most games made with GB Studio. That being said, he made it himself, and I really respect that. It’s also not overpriced or anything. it’s just a small game made for a legendary meme!
Let's be super clear: The game is VERY short. You are not getting this game for the replayability, you are getting it for the ba ba di ga and the wisdom of the Dog of Wisdom. (And some extra wisdom from the Cat of Wisdom too, you lucky duck.) Fantastic if you want to learn a quick speedrun game, not the place you want to be if you want depth and meaning, even if it can be argued that the meaning is that even something short has value, etc. etc. And remember: If the ball does not fit in your mouth, it is not your ball.
What is your wisdom? The game is way too short. It's literally 15-20 minutes, and the final level design is very, very annoying. I'd rather support the creator in other ways. Ba.
I have loved the Dog of Wisdom and Pepper for a very long time. However, the game is not too great. It is very short, the casino level was just annoying, and pepper was not very fun to control. It was very cute, but this is the type of thing you play once and never again. I think this should be free, really. Soundtrack had me swingin tho This game does NOT warrant the banger trailer it got lmao
...what? no? that`s it? Ba.
