This is a legendary quest from the 80s, invented by the Oliver Twins, about a yolkfolk living in trees. The main character, Dizzy, constantly rescues relatives who get into trouble. And now he found himself on a strange island after his family was kidnapped by the Hunter...

When I run this and open task manager I see that my GPU jumps to 99% use (which I've never seen happen since getting a good GPU) and the wifi use keeps spiking too with nothing else open. This is while on the menu, without even beginning the game. So either this is the most poorly optimised menu ever created, or this game is bitcoin mining or something like that. Either way I'm uninstalling because I don't want my PC to melt so I can play Dizzy Two.
I dont think the person who made this had the licence for dizzy i dont have any evidence to back this up i just have a really strong feeling they dont

So there's a DIzzy game on Steam! Not really clear what the involvement of Codemasters, the Oliver Twins or whoever owns Dizzy these days is, but I'm accepting this in good faith. This is a fairly typical Dizzy arcade adventure, resembling the 16-bit versions with full colour graphics rather than the black sky 8-bit originals. It starts out in an actual house instead of one of those treehouse things, seeming to put Dizzy in more of a realistic setting than usual. I've played for a bit and found some annoying platform-jumping bits where you'll struggle for a while just to get back to where you started... Which is, of course, totally on brand for Dizzy. The puzzles I've encountered so far make sense; if anything they're a bit too obvious. Not quite sure about this yet. If anything I'd prefer the original games on Steam rather than a sequel that doesn't do anything new 30 years later, and I can't say this truly recaptures the feel of the originals. But it's free!

Ah the nostalgia. Annoying controls and irritating perma-death. Yep, get it wrong and it's right back the to beginning, all progress lost. Does anyone want to have to sit through an entire play-through these days? Back in the day when a save meant putting a cassette tape in a drive and waiting forever, fair enough, but nowadays hard disks makes saves super quick, so why not implement one? Incidentally, I was able to play this game using an Xbox One controller, without any config and without setting up the Steam controller config. Sadly though, in order to pick up, put down, or use items in the game you need the mouse. Again another modern day aspect overlooked. Wait, no, that's not modern, I was able to play Dizzy on my C64 with a joystick... Hmmm.... Someone's not done their homework, the lack of full controller integration is poor. While this game may be free, I don't feel it offers enough to make it worthwhile. The whole restarting over when you die problem just makes me not want to play.
This game lets you play as sans except he's an egg. It's probably mining bitcoin on my computer, since it maxed out my cpu while playing. The platforming controls like Jump King, in that it's unreasonably difficult to control. The music is the perfect blend of uneasy impending doom and the cheerful smile of a marionette on a shelf waiting to kill you. 9/10 would play again if it didn't max out my cpu.
