Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is a great game with too much detail, and it has very steep learning curve. It is 4X grand strategy game. There are 20 playable races each with con, pro, and different technology tree. I played previous title and I needed to spend sometimes to become familiar with UI and gameplay. It is rewarding if you are a patient player and like to learn the basic. Overall, I highly recommend this game to 4X player.
private economy is a horrible system half the time you wait for minerals and resources to come. While your empire comes to a halt. I will stick to playing Stellaris or other 4x games would not recommend distant worlds 2 this game is horrible.

Been here since pre launch, experienced the bad and now the great and I wholeheartely recommend this game to everyone interested in similar games, which is slow gameplay over long sessions. Cheers to the devs and the community, hopefully we will see many add ons and even more polishment to the base game itself
Tried the new Migrant Fleet twice. On both occasions the only habitable planets I found were already settled or within the domain of a civilization. Really poorly executed. What could've been a really fun way to start a game is just tedious. I played for an hour to an hour and half on both of these starts. Uninstalling and going back to Stellaris.
Fantastic 4x space strategy
If you're a fan of Space Grand Strategy Simulations, then you'll probably love this game. Give yourself some time to get in to and work on the learning curve. Go put on one of the myriad of youtubers (Arumba has a GREAT little series) out there that have extensive lets plays and try to follow along. Because, once it clicks in your head, you're going to lose yourself for 100s of hours. And if I know anything about you, dear reader, you're a bit like me. DW2 will satisfy that craving to disappear in to the simulation...Shakturi be damned.
It keeps showing circle of death, looks like my 4070 pc cannot handle this game, i have to stop ans start again, annoying.
I'm not sure how to describe this, but I've had a blast and very glad I bought it. The level of customizable automation is probably the thing I've never seen done this well elsewhere. But I was more here for the exploring, finding weird stuff, building colonies, building my economy, and then taking my fleets around to kill stuff. I found some of the interface tough - once my empire got huge and if I got into wars it really bogged down because I had to micro manage my fleets and there was just so many targets to pursue. I probably just needed to watch more youtube videos on it but didn't feel like it Definite buy again for me though!
First DW was was perfectly fine for me (3d shinies good, but they are secondary or even tertiary for such games) with one exception, it reached it`s software\harware limits and here we have DW2 with multi core and huge amount of ram support, DW2 is probably the only one in class and just have not competitors with such deep economy and warfare altogether (Stellaris? hell no, not even close) so if you intrested in 4x stratagies this one definetly worth a try
