It's a fun collection of minigames, but I had to change the visual settings everytime I start a new Tall Tale. I also wished that I had more controllers to play multiplayer.
can't play as mater
This game is nostalgic, this is worth the money if you wanna revisit the memories of playing this. trust me, I beat all the missions and started replaying them for the fun of it. 5/5: Perfect as I remembered.
I used to play this game with my sisters on my Wii when I was younger, and when I found it on steam I was ecstatic. I played it with my buddy David and I thought it was fun. We stopped and it had sat in my library for probably a year and some change, until two days ago when I decided to 100% the game. The game itself is fun. Obviously, its a children's game so it is nothing crazy. Each cartoon has 5 mini-games, and each mini-game has a trophy for how good you do and a bonus price for completing a specific task. It runs relatively smooth (it crashed often when I first loaded in, but if you take it slow for the first while it usually is fine after that) and the graphics are alright for a game that came out on the Wii. As far as games go, it can be quite repetitive at times (some mini-games were exact copies of others) and some can be tedious and long, but it's definitely more fun with other people playing. The achievements are cute and sometimes weirdly specific? Many times for the collectables you have to purposely fail "x" amount of times, which might happen to a little kid by accident, but I definitely had to look up the 100% speedrun to figure it out. There was also ONE GAME that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ busted my balls and it was Big Bad Jumpin' on Mater the Greater. You have to boost BEFORE the jump space button appears, so it was so frustrating when I would not do it at the speed of light and then miss it and you only have ONE MISTAKE before you can't get 4500 points. Other than that, most the games are fun. The only big critic I have is getting the last license plate, you need to unlock EVERYTHING, which means getting well over like 50,000 coins, which is a pain in the ass. The speedrun does one mini game in the space section where you go grab the ufo and back to get 5000 points. However, I sucked ass and if you make ONE mistake it takes forever to try again, plus it lowers the points. I found that the street fighter one in the Monster Truck Mater was the most efficient. I googled some C# code to automate a right arrow hold, a spam a button, and spam mouse click button to make it go as fast as possible. After waiting I finally unlocked all of it. Overall it's a great game. I like it mostly from nostalgia, but it has so much quirk and the fact they made a whole ass video game based of Mater's Tall Tales is so great. I loved that show and Cars franchise in general, so 100% this game makes me feel very accomplished. 9.5/10
Disney•Pixar <3
This game is awesome. I remember playing it on the Wii when I was a kid but then my disc got scratched up and broke but then I got it on steam and I like the PC version better. Its also cool that you can customize your car to look like The King. I highly Recommend to play this game.
