I tried two of the "experiences". First one was the Captain America one. It was just a 360 video projected onto a sphere. You're floating in the air and all the classic stuff. The second one was the Jakku Spy. In that one the sound was distorted and choppy, and the whole experience was just a 360 video without positional tracking. It has the potential to make you dizzy really quick. And the menu parts in this one, which were rendered on my PC, were insanely laggy. Drawing a few rectangles can sure be difficult.

Can't complain about free content. But there are a few things to point out: Positive: - The snake (in a game engine) scene was cool - The scale on the star wars stuff is on point - King Louie video were one of the best 360 videos I've seen. - The main menu worked well and looked nice. Negative: - The red carpet stuff is very underwhelming and personally not something I would watch in 2d, and vr doesn't add anything to the experience imo (maybe if I was interested I would find some 360 red carpet videos on youtube). - 30 fps on the videos? Maybe the streamed videos should be 30fps and the downloadable version should be 60 or maybe 90fps. Would be nice to have a choice. - No touch controller support. I know its a port from gearVR, but shouldn't be hard to implement. - Got some of that VR sickness (probably due to the low frame rate in the videos) It was a positive experience, but have to admit that I was expecting better quality from Disney.

Some pretty cool stuff in here! Some things are just regular 360 videos but some other things like some of the Jungle Book scenes are in proper 3D. It would be nice if there was some basic positional head tracking in the 3D scenes to prevent nausea and such. The Jungle Book snake one is pretty crazy and actually sort of freaked me out a little. As a Marvel fan I got goosebumps by just being in the main menu and having that part of the scene animate. While watching the Captain America premiere 360 video was pretty cool, I was disappointed this was the only Marvel content on here for now. The application as a whole shows great potential for the world of VR in moviemaking, if only we can get over the whole 360 video thing and switch to a more 3D capture in the (hopefully near) future.

без шлема тут делать нечего, совсем нечего. Поначалу вроде круто: главное меню сделано с душой, да и демка со змеёй реально цепляет - вот это, думаю, VR так VR! А потом начинается… просто сферические видео на 360 градусов, и не сказать, что шикарные - для Диснея как то совсем не уровень. По сути, сидишь и смотришь коротенькие ролики, будто в YouTube в режиме «панорамки». Из плюсов - парочка бэкстейджей по «Звёздным войнам», вот это порадовало: как раз пересматривал франшизу и было интересно глянуть закулисье. Но в целом ощущение, что тебя слегка обманули: задумка то классная, а реализация - так себе. Ещё и приложение выпилили, представляете? В итоге получается: красиво начали, а дальше - сплошное разочарование. Рекомендовать не стану, лучше поискать что то по настоящему VR шное. И если этот обзор наберёт 50 лайков и 10 наград - куплю все дополнения и сыграю 100 часов. Disney Movies VR [b]Ахтунг:[/b] без комплекта VR, оно не пашет. В остальном: программка от Диснея с рекламкой их вселенных. В основном коротенькие 360° видосы, причём довольно шакально сделанные, чего от Диснея как-то не ожидаешь. Доставляет только змей, действительно. Ну и спасибо за бэки Звёздных Воин, как раз крайние несколько месяцев пересматриваю что там нового вышло по франшизе, третью трилогию как раз закончил. Как итог: задумка норм, но реализация так себе. Да и аппку выпилили. В общем рекомендовать не взялся бы. This is an interesting attempt, But it just does not work. Normally the idea of 360 videos does not bother me when it comes to VR but there is only a total of maybe 6-7 videos, Some of them literally just being commercials for upcoming Disney movies. And on top of that the resolution on these things is pretty low because 360 camera technology just isnt super great yet, This would have been a much better experiance if Disney would have invested some time into it and actually made some 3d in engine immersive environments to just stand around in. The worst part of this is, Once you install the application, It literally wants you to individually download each 360 video which takes longer to download than it really should. Installed it , Tried 2 videos, Uninstalled.
