This game has been my stress reliever since my surgery. I thank my daughter for introducing it to me.
Dreamlight Valley has a great central message: the world is overabundant in resources and goals; it's up to you which value to pursue. Here all it takes is casual playtime. One thing you can do is unlock worlds of a lot of Disney characters (even without DLC). You can also do things like in Stardew Valley (sans time pressure) and Palia (sans other players). Given that it's Disney, I expected better production value, such as animations when placing new structures. The multiplayer mode needs improvement, but it's something.
