Disco Time 80s VR

The feature to use your own chosen music via a built-in youtube player does not work. Looking at the forums, it seems it hasn't worked for years. It's a key part of the app, most disappointing.

"Disco Time 80s VR" is not a game, it's a very lame "disco" themed VR social experience... you put on a VR headset, try to play some music (if it works), and then uh... that's it. There's no actual gameplay, no gameplay loops. This is software, and has been misleadingly listed as a game. Dumping applications on Steam as if they are games isn't harmless. It creates valueless pollution that genuine indie devs who've done the right thing have to try to compete with to get visibility for their games. It makes it harder for gamers to find those genuinely made games. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the software to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the application wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent users... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free software doesn't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Disco Time 80s VR is a free VR experience that has several mini games. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Did not have real 80s music, just copyright free music. The npcs didn't look very good, neither textures or models. There is some mini games like darts, bowling, pool, shooting arcade game. At one time this might have be a paid program, but now it is free. Has instructions for Vive. Has 2 clubs to visit. Maybe try this free game, but it is nothing special.
