This game is a chill and fun experience! The controls feel smooth, and while the physics take a little time to get used to, once you do, each throw feels really satisfying. I really liked the different courses, each one offers a bit of challenge without being frustrating. It’s clear the dev put a lot of care into the details.. even small things like the sound design and environment feel alive. I highly recommend checking this game out!

It's good but I would have liked an option for a guide line or at least a reminder of how far the disc will go depending on how hard it's thrown. More stage variety would be nice too

Disc Golf City brings the quiet sport of disc golf into a colourful low-poly city, swapping forests for rooftops, alleys and hidden trick-shot targets. The arcade setup is easy to grasp and free of timers, with playful achievements for creative throws and scenery that invites exploration. When a throw curves just right and lands in the basket it feels genuinely rewarding. The problems lie in the demanding controls and a punishing progression system. Only the tutorial is open at first and new levels require under-par scores across all courses, turning early play into a grind. Free play mode offers little relief and often resets progress. With smoother handling and more generous unlocking this could become a cult favourite, but at launch it remains a charming yet uneven experience.
I love this game, and its cute graphics. It's a bit more arcade-y than a sim, but it's still lots of fun. The disc travels a lot further than expected though. That takes a bit of getting used to. Also it would be nice to be able to select different discs. Nice game, well done.
Do you like Golf? Do you like working angles out? reading wind speeds? Measuring just the right amount of power to hear those chains clatter as you get that disc in one? Then you've come to the right store page. Disc Golf City, is a dream of a game, if you spend some time working out the corners, height of buildings, road furniture blocking your way, you can master this game and get some real good vibes going as you clatter the disc into the basket. Great locations and very smooth game play. Yes it would be better with a few friends (would be a contender with Golf with Friends), but that's my only critique. Hey who knows it if you all leave honest reviews the devs might go forth and create us a Disc World to throw our Frisbee's against each other. Great fun game (it's on mobile as well) and under a tenner, no complaints here.
I really like the art style of this game, it's got a visual style similar to Little Kitty, Big City. The game itself is surprisingly addictive; I'd never really heard of Disc Golf before I came across this, and it's a really fun game that kind of sucks you into playing just one more round. I'm playing it on SteamOS on a Legion Go S and everything works really well, hitting 120FPS without breaking a sweat. it didn't say anything about being steam deck verified but I haven't come across any issues whatsoever. Slight negatives. I think the game would benefit from a visual throwing guideline, as it can be a little difficult to work out where the shot will end up - I figured it out after a few throws, but it would certainly make the tutorial easier. I found I actually preferred using the touchscreen for making the throws compared to the controller - it felt more natural somehow - but I really feel like it would benefit from some haptic feedback when making the throw. Finally, I wish there was a way to skip the animation after a throw (especially when it's a bad throw!) instead of having to watch the disc stop wobbling. Those minor points aside, it's a really fun quick pick up and play game. It's quirky, cartoony and has a fun vibe to it. Highly recommended!
This is a nice game that anyone can pickup and play. I like the general vibe - a cozy game that anyone can play. The game looks (and sounds) nice - the buildings are cute and "friendly". (I especially liked seeing Dom's Dodge Charger from the "Fast" films! 🤓🚗🎬) I think the way that you've integrated the Menu into the game environment is a neat touch. Had a couple of challenges initially, but settled into the game quickly enough. Seems the developers are keen to get feedback any pain points (which I'll do separately), so I expect those to be smoothed out in due course (pardon the pun! 😂⛳). All in all - for a free game that has no doubt taken a lot of time and effort to get this far, I think it's a great offering and first game for a new developer, congrats! 👍
A fun first version of a game, although it doesn't seem to be complete yet. Controls could use some polish but I did get the hang of it fairly quickly and regularly started coming in 1 under par (yes I know there's a term for it, but I'm not a golfer and can't remember!). The guide line didn't seem accurate for power levels over about 70% but again, I did get used to it pretty quickly. The physics and bouncing were good, it was frustrating if a car comes round the corner right as you throw and gets in the way! A few more resolutions/screen size improvement would be nice. It's a bit of fun and I'm looking forward to trying new courses and it definitely has room for expansion. Totally worth it for a free game. If you want a complete and polished game I'd suggest waiting a bit though until it has a few updates.
