Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Received as gift from a person very close to to me. The starter episode form this branch was just less than ok. I won't recommend, and the next chapter or 2 on the second set is going to have to be mind blowing to even think I'd say this after is is a complete mirror of the first episode. Direction on narrative int he middle was just bleh. it tainted my respect for the entire series. The cast offs Supermassive did, the remakes everything kept building up. This one didn't plateau but fell down hard. 4.5/10 Don't recommend. What they did get right was the controls both Keyboard/mouse and controller. The next one needs to be super solid or I'm not interested supporting the future of the whole project. Whatever changes were made in management and direction at the studio, undo them.

Great game so far but it does feel like a weaker entry. The writing seems very vanilla. Still a fun one.
My brother and I played this in the cool coop mode and we both came away liking the game with a big astrisk. There are a couple story elements that don't make sense but they can be overlooked given how complex the branching paths can be. The one part that hold the game back is the horrible stealth. Stealth can be done SO much better. A big improvement that would really help this game is the ability to activate MULTIPLE distracting elements to move the hunter. For some reason you can only really do this once in an encounter which makes no sense. Despite the horrible stealth, I gave it a 7/10 and my brother gave it a 6.5/10.
I've played all the Dark Pictures games to date and genuinely enjoyed this one. My partner and I played it together over a few sessions and just finished up. While the stealth sections were plentiful they did add tension to the gameplay beyond QTEs. The characters were well done and I enjoyed the dynamics they had going for this entry. I think I enjoyed this one a lot more then Little Hope or Man of Medan. Overall a fun experience and I enjoyed the story a lot. Definitely didn't see the twist coming even as we were trying to piece together what it could be.

One of my favorites of the Dark Pictures games. I appreciate that they took some risks with this, and for the most part they paid off. Excellent setting and story. Support the devs - I hope they will continue making games.
I think this game is heavily over hated. If you are not a fan of stealth horror games (think Outlast), this may not be the one for you. But as someone who is a huge Dark Pictures & Outlast fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this. The plot was interesting, the design of the world & ship was scary yet beautiful, and the characters I think were decent for the most part. Outside of a few things that annoyed me about the crews decisions (which honestly, is standard horror movie stuff), I don't have many complaints for this game. Not the best, but I'd say middle of the pack as far as this series goes. If you are a Dark Pictures fan, give this a chance.
I’ve played all of the games in The Dark Pictures Anthology. I was a little skeptical when I saw that this one had mixed reviews and was set in space, but I was pleasantly surprised. I played it with a couple of friends, and it took us around 7–8 hours to finish. The story was better than expected, and the graphics were crisp. Overall, I’d give it a 7/10. Little Hope and The Devil in Me are still my favorite games in the anthology, though.
Whoever decided to cancel online co-op made the biggest mistake and is killing the dark pictures anthology... I hope they learned from this and in the next game there is co-op included
