Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Visuals were amazing Game never crashed once Story is compelling and fruitful Good o'l House of Ashes vibes (mixed in with a little Dead Space) _ _ _ Am recommending this to friends - 10/10
Jako fanoušek celé série The Dark Pictures jsem si Directive 8020 opravdu užil. Hra nijak zásadně nevybočuje z osvědčené formule – stále jde především o příběh, rozhodování a následky vašich voleb.
Personally, I enjoy it but I enjoy most Space-themed content so I may not be the best judge. The story's good but could use more character and friendship development like previous games. Feels like Alien: Isolation and The Thing had a baby.
[No Spoilers] I'm actually in shock that this game has been reviewed with such criticism. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this and believe it bodes well for the dark pictures series. One of the things I liked best was the time-jumps and how later on in the game players would see the outcomes of their actions and choices. I felt that sequencing the game this way worked really well. It gave the impression that my choices truly impacted several different outcomes in ways I wouldnt understand until later on in the game. I also have to add that the music for this game was really well placed, and foreshadowed the overall theme or 'point' of the game. While House of Ashes is still my absolute favourite, Directive 8020 easily takes the place of second best within the anthology series. While critics argue that the characters were hard to connect with and fell flat, my experience was the exact opposite of this. I loved the characters and felt each of them progressed the story in different but meaningful ways. The overall story was engaging, and posed several different moral dilemmas and philosophical questions to those playing. Without spoiling the contents of the game, players were asked to make a massive decision which required them to choose between the good of some, or the good of many. I had to pause for several minutes while playing with a friend while we discussed and theorised on which option to choose and what the potential repercussions may be for the option we chose. I truly believe some of the negative feedback for this game were from people who raced to complete the game without taking the time to immerse themselves in the story. I think the only piece of negative feedback relates to the overuse of stealth actions. I was really hoping for more ‘don’t move’ segments, which have been a common element of other games within the series. Overall, the game was definitely worth playing, and I felt the creators really took their time to listen to the feedback they received from their other games and deliver on a well fleshed out storyline and gameplay experience.
A very quick game compared to the dark pictures series where i wanted to see the different outcomes. The graphics to the level are good, but the character look a bit off with the huge ass arms and little bodies. The game ran fine for the first half of the game, but once it got down to the ending the game starting slowing down and skipping a bit with there frames. and i have a pretty good GPU and ram. Gameplay: Not much gameplay... Felt more like a walking simulator with very basic stealth mechanic. IT very repetitive after the first few chapters. It always the same thing, stealth > open door > stealth again. I miss the QTE and the choices you make in the games that matter of the outcome... there was very little QTE that determine the outcome. Story: Story was okay, but could of been better. felt like thing were rush a bit and we didn't really get to care about the characters especially in the first chapter which felt like they flew by quickly. we only really got a backstory on two ppl with out saying too much and spoiling it. but i just felt like thing did not matter in the end.. This game make me not want to replay it either with the whole rewind feature. i think that kind of ruins the whole can they survive aspect of the game. i can just just see all outcomes while playing it once with no issues. though i know there is a survivor mode which honestly should of been the main gameplay and then unlock the rewind feature after beating the game. overwall. it was an ok play. story was ok, gameplay was meh... would i suggest ppl buy it? yes, only if you get it on sale.
Would totally recommend this game if it didn't have these awefull sneak segments in it. When I got to the last one i just killed all my characters to get it over with.
