The software isn't functioning; the characters (models) and voices aren't loading. Additionally, there is no assistance from the developers. It seems like a scam. Fortunately, I will be able to get a refund since I've used it for less than 2 hours.

I have used this app for several months now, and I cannot recommend it. The developers do not seem to be interested in developing it further. Nothing new has been added for quite some time. The program relies on user created content, mostly from Asian users, which are models and songs, mostly Asian in content, as the user base is mainly Asian. The discussion boards are nearly all in Asian. One used to be able to talk to it using a microphone, and it would get its replies from a designated AI service like ChatGPT. However, the speech to text function is broken. One can still use ChatGPT or Claude or which ever one you use within Digital Mate's interface, but you have to type into the interface manually, as speech to text will not type in your replies or submit text. If you want an AI based Desktop Mate which you can voice chat, this function is broken, and they do not seem to be interested in fixing it.

又是这个套路，在b站又看到作者宣传新项目的视频了。做一个跑路一个，之前还在期望这次能够稳定下来好好更新，就算是把新功能放进dlc里也没人这么骂你，现在这个评价只能说是该。

It only works on first launch. In the second case, no model is loaded. The chat is silent. Nothing wants to work. Pure deception. An absolutely unworkable proposal. This users must pay for using this program.

I always like these desktop companions/pets especially those that serves some helpful functionalities, and this one has it. It has basic reminder and chat service integration so you can integrate in chat-GPT for its chat functionality plus text-to-speech functionality (I highly recommend download and using EdgeTTS for more natural sounding voices). You can download different community-made avatars in the workshop section similar to wallpaper engine. I really hope the developers continue to add more functionalities to this application like disabling microphone functionality, third party services support and notifications like gmail, social medias, etc, local application access like playing music through the application and the sorts. Definitely a neat little app for the asking price, really hope for more functionalities built into it!

ai chat bots wont sync at all after update. Unsubscribed in the app but cant resub -_- It was working fine up until most recent update

I can't really recommend this software in its current state. I tried to load different models from the workshop or even some models from my local storage, but the software simply refused to load any. The text to speech is horribly implemented as in I was waiting for at least 5 minutes to generate a basic phrase like "Hello, nice to meet you" using custom voices. The speech recognition is working randomly whenever it decides to. I see a lot of positive reviews on this piece of software, maybe it was functioning as it should have before some update, but right now it's not, not even the basic things that the application must deliver. I want to add that I have a decent rig so the issues that I mentioned above can't be due to my machine. What a pity, this seemed like an interesting idea to have a "virtual assistant" with a personality.

Man...super cool!, takes a second to figure out, the potential of this app is crazy, the only thing i wish right away, I wish there was an instant chat box you can enter, instead of opening the main page to ask questions. There are plenty of times now the kids are asleep and there is no room for speaking out loud. Really its having an AI buddy, even in the middle of a game you can call for it and ask it to open or close programs, start music, search for answers for the game your playing while playing, just a few more ability's and i can see it helping with work load or even organization, maybe another notification system, thats not the traditional, ping! the windows provide. The community is amazing! the ability to upload your own models is there and the custom tailoring potential is sweet! You may not need this all the time its a tool and potentially a monster of an app for your pc .. id pick this over siri or alexa but this isnt for everyone and hopefully someone dose tutorials for this app, it needs it

I wish very much to change my review to a positive one. I cannot until the dev stabilizes the software and brings doll performance to be on par with Desktop MMD4 or better still MMD3, Miss Fish. They are ahead of the game with their incorporation of LLM service and could and should really capitalize on it! Alas, getting the program to run is such a bizzare and opaque ritual of loads, reloads, deletion and somehow keeping Coco from intercepting the LLM service EVEN IF YOU DELETE ALL HER FILES... I cannot reccomend others wrassle through the hassles I do. If fixed, I will excitedly change my review to be positive.
