Excellent game take any card and Dice game and use it on the PC.
Really love this game. Found it by accident, saw it on You tube. Watched Dave Gardner's review of the game so I decided to give it a try. I am sure glad I did. I really love the Statis-pro version. Brings back a lot of memories.
I love that it has the 2023 season! That is GREAT!!!!
Simple but excellent way to play your tabletop game and get full statistics, while simulating teams you are not playing. And it is always being improved. The software is top notch for me
Digital Diamond Baseball is an excellent simulation with tons of features. The game offers plenty of depth for hardcore baseball simulation but also offers an easy-to-navigate interface and tutorial videos that allow any baseball fan to enjoy a game within minutes. If you're into customization, you can import player statistics from any season, ballparks, team logos and player photos. Highly recommended!
Excellent text based baseball game. I am in the middle of a Great Teams League season, where all 48 of the teams in the league, broken into four divisions based on era, were World Series participants. I expected that the stats would be skewed, as ALL the teams are first place squads, but it is not. Pitching and hitting stats are pretty close to actuals. Now a pitcher with a good era, but poor WHIP does poorly against these line-ups, as does a power hitter who strikes out a lot against these pitchers. But nothing is outrageously out of line. Only 1.5 earned runs separate the best pitching staff in the league from the worst. Average runs scored per team is another matter, but the teams at the top tend to beat an opponent by 5+ runs in a number of games, while those at the bottom win close 1 to two run games. An individual manager taking manual control can impact a team's performance, but only to a limited extent. What the batters and pitchers did in real life will determine the outcomes. You can employ the option to ensure that sparsely used players with great stats don't get overused, and this would keep the managers honest, as a performance penalty is assessed, should this occur. The manager will be able to call for steals, hit-and-run, bunts, and taking extra bases on offense. And he can call for the infield to play in, play 'no doubles' defense, bring in the corners,or set up normally on defense. There are also a number of options the player can set up for the entire league, which would impact the game. For example, the Great Teams League is a no-DH league, but the game has normalized AL teams that used one so that their pitchers aren't automatic outs. The game simulates any games the player doesn't wish to be a manager in quickly, and compiles a wealth of statistics as well. It is a very enjoyable simulator. If you are looking for a stat rather than arcade based baseball game to play, this is it! Highly recommended.
I like the compatiability with board games and statistical tracking
I actually bought this game to use as a stat and standings keeper for all the other tabletop baseball games I play using the manual entry function, which is tremendous! However I discovered what a wonderful game Digital Diamond Baseball is on it's own as well! It's a blast to play, very realistic, very in depth and immersive with a beautiful presentation on top of all that! There's SO many "hidden gems" inside this game engine and then you get Statis-Pro Baseball along with everything else! It is truly amazing and an incredible bargain! I am so happy I decided to purchase Digital Diamond Baseball!
An excellent simulation! I can't wait to try out the card option!
Beyond the simulation itself - which essentially allows you to (accurately) play or simulate any game/season/team in history, make trades, etc. - the "board game" feature is revolutionary, enabling the import of Statis-Pro cards into the game engine itself, thus creating a computer-based Statis-Pro sim (not currently in existence). You can also, to a lesser (but still highly helpful) extent, combine the roster/UX/automation features inherent in DDB11 with other baseball board games. OUTSTANDING product (even more-so for the low price) that would appeal to just about anyone into baseball sims and replaying (or creating) history.
