Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8/day in the week to Sep 14 → 7.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
good game 10/10
If I had to describe every issue I had with this game, my review would take up the entire page, so I'll be painfully non-descript and just say the story peaked when Aegiomon evolved from Coo, and went downhill faster than a search history disappears when "Renamon" is put into it. The writing is atrocious, the pacing is awful, you don't even really "tame" any of the digimon, the dungeon and level design are some of the worst I've ever seen once you get out of Central Town, and if I had a nickel every time I took a wrong warp with Gekomon, when both of the options are equally terrible and have no tell for which is the right way, I'd be able to buy Steam and give everyone who bought this piece of trash both a refund and a free copy of a game that does everything this one does--but actually good--that game being literally any SMT or Persona game. Hell, even modern pokemon games have better self-contained stories. I don't wanna be that guy but, in the words of Peter Griffin, "It insists upon itself"; the game rams into your head the same themes over and over again about acceptance of grief and not abusing time travel or alternate methods to bring a lost loved one back, but then makes you spend nearly half the third act of the game--assembling the Olympia XII--in Akashic Visions, saving the lives of these people that are so important to the plot, and so strong that they have to live, to the point where I couldn't give less of a ♥♥♥♥ about any of them! All the characters are basically the same, and if I wanted to talk about characters that don't mean anything to the story, I'd talk about the demon lords at the very end, who are literally only there for fanservice and cheap, BS boss fights! Sorry, I'm rambling, I just can't wait for 7-23 to come around and I can play a game by people who know how to make a good videogame.

Lost 14 hours of gameplay to save list corrupted error. No fixes worked.
I used to be a huge Pokemon fan (still am of the older games up to and including X & Y), starting with Blue & Red editions. I never liked Digimon because the design just doesn't speak to me. However, a friend really bugged me about giving this game a try and I have to say I was completely blown away. Digimon Story Time Stranger is everything Pokemon games should be at this point. While they are stuck with outdated, stagnant gameplay and horrendous graphics and world design, Digimon Story Time Stranger is a really beautiful game with engaging and at times challenging gameplay, especially if you give mega+ a shot. While I still don't personally enjoy how digimon look, that is completely subjective and down to taste and shouldn't deter anybody else from enjoying the game. I also absolutely and unreservedly recommend this game to anybody who used to enjoy the classic Pokemon games for their gameplay. DSTS updates the classic system with a bunch of really good quality of life improvements to make min/maxing and training less tedious without removing complexity. And even though the game is still fully turn based, it never feels slow or stagnant. You can speed up combat up to 5 times (I used this for trash mobs) and then slow down to enjoy in combat talk and brilliant attack animations for pivotal fights. If you back track to an early area and have spent a good amount of time grinding your digimon, you can essentially skip all combat with a sort of sneak attack that can - if you're powerful enough - kill enemies without entering turn based combat. You still get to farm the digimon you beat and don't lose out on experience or loot. Some of the level design, the way the game progresses from semi-open world to backtrackable open world and some of the puzzles also strongly reminded me of Final Fantasy X, which is one of my favorite 3 games of all time. If I had to name a negative, it would probably be one of the later levels, where you progress through the map by picking certain dialogue options. While the options are humerous at first, you have to go throug most of them two or three times and there is a total of 15 or 20 if you want to check every nook and cranny of the map. You also have to watch the full animation and dialogue window every time. It became less humerous and more tedious after about the fifth dialogue. But overall, that entire map probably takes up 20 minutes, including random combat encounters. So definitely not a huge negative.
