About
Roll magical dice, collect rare loot, nudge your fate in the right direction, slay folklore creatures and finally face the King of Undead, The Lich!

With Die for the Lich, we set out to recreate the magic of playing a unique deck-builder for the first time.
We replaced cards with dice that you need to pair with your gear and the game took on a life of its own, a curious blend of strategy, chaos, and pushing your luck!

Will you strike the perfect balance between dice, weapons, abilities and trinkets?
Do you wish to always roll what you need, then find a Lucky Die.
Do you need custom made dice, then visit the Dice Fusion table.
Do you want to re-roll 1s, then grab the Eye Patch ability.
Do you think you are strong enough for a tougher battle, then seek the Blood Moon.
The options are endless and there is nothing more exciting than having your own unique journey in a chaotic world.

Great concept, but the demo flowed better than the EA version. (I have 47 hours on the demo too) This is the type of developer that's dangerous to EA buyers... They make updates that fundementaly change things (not for the better)... ... and now they just announced they are stopping development on the game. Stay away... don't support this type of developer if you can help it.
Abandonned game, tried to get a refund 3 times with no clear explaination why my requests were unsuccessful. It had promise but is clearly still an unfinished game. This is the last time I will ever put money towards early access games on steam and the last time I purchase anything from 2 left thumbs.
The developers kinda gave up on the project, they say to resume development in the future, but... The game is currently more or less a demo, fun but just a demo, definitely not worth the price. I do not recommend buying it, at least until development has resumed.
I have started 5 or 6 playthroughs and completed 3 in a little over 2 hours of play time. There was almost nothing that was in the early access version that wasn't in the demo months before. This was a vaporware scam from the start. Avoid the developer.
Unfinished Game, and now, the devs start a new project, scammy scammy scam scam
Devs ran out of $ after 5 months of Early Access. With that kind of timeline, I can't imagine how they actually ever had a plan to finish DftL in the first place without 20k units sold but that's just the spunky upstart charm of an Early Access game and that thrilling 'will they or won't they finish it?' angle it brings. There's a high quality product in here but a clearly unfinished one in need of serious balancing. The devs have a lot to be proud of though, which is shame since ultimately there's nothing to get excited about since 1.0 is effectively cancelled. Tough break for the buyers and devs, which is always an unfortunate combo of tough breaks. There's potential for a really interesting game here. No hard feelings though. Not mad, just disappointed.
Die for the Lich is a decent take on the genre of 'slay the spire but with dice', it has a decent amount of variety and complexity that makes choosing your dice and weapons vital to success. Unfortunately the devs have had to suspend development of the game due to it being unsustainable. This is unfortunate but they were open and honest which is more than I can say for some early access developers. Hopefully they'll return to this game in the future. I'd recommend it (mainly on discount).
Game is and was fun. However the developers decided to stop working on the project. Do not buy.
As an avid roguelike fan, this was honestly a great game thus far. I think it's a nice spin on the deckbuilding games, and really do hope the developers pick this up soon!
