Only recommend if you are a platformer vet. Fun game with smooth movement, but as a platformer noob this game is completely inaccessible. Only play this game if you have a few years of platformer experience and good motor skills.

An interesting world with very weak movement mechanics. Character motion is very abrupt and is nearly unplayable with the analog stick of the controller. I didn't go through the time trying to make it work with the D-Pad, but you will likely get better results with keyboard. That being said, there's many places where you have to land and maneuver in spaces that require micro adjustment of your movement where pushing an arrow for a second longer than it takes to register means dying and resetting a whole sequence. The presence of two (kinda three) forms of jump is interesting, but also rather overwhelming when alternating them as needed. The first timed sequence is just stupid as is the first boss. It might get better, but it's wasted enough of my time with unforgiving spikes that are easier to walk into when trying to jump than interesting to engage with. Very weird how it withholds health mechanics, but then those mechanics mean nothing more than handling bullet spam during some sections rather than insisting on pixel perfect accuracy of the endless spikes that still oneshot you.
