Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7/day in the week to Sep 11 → 17.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Nostalgia level: 99 Gameplay: 10/10 Difficulty: 10/10 Endless farming? 10/10 Note: Hardcore only Great QoL improvements to the gameplay and graphics on point, could use some adjustments to the interface, friendslist, in-game profile, inspect characters/player profiles, statistics like the D3 interface and also an in-game trade platform (like auction house) as the player base and online players is very limited, season or not. Makes trading etc. unbareable. (on hardcore atleast)
I will always have a special place in my heart for Diablo 2. It was the game I played as a kid that made me realize that I not only preferred magic classes, but specifically pet classes/summoners. I would always remember reading up on the Necromancer prior to playing. It was probably the first game I spent years playing and online at that. It was also the game that made me realize that I didn't care for multiplayer. I remember thinking too many were obsessed over rushing/pvp or people thinking they were hot stuff abusing mechanics (I vaguely remember something involving the ITH rune). Thankfully, offline mode has the "players x" code where you can simulate the game world as if there were 1 - 8 players. It made grinding for XP and good loot much easier in the single player. Provided you can handle the stronger enemies alone. I enjoyed it so much that I jumped to buy DIablo II Resurrected when it was released on B.net and then I jumped to buy it again when it was released on Steam with the new Warlock class - a summoner as good, if not better, than the Necromancer. There are some minor nuisances like did I really need to connect to bnet when I was only playing offline. It took me too long to also realize it was seeing my copy of Diablo 2 resurrected from bnet and not steam so I wasn't getting the infernal edition/warlock stuff until I connected my bnet and steam accounts. The new warlock class was fun. I liked summoning the demons and having abilities that let you teleport the demons or the party. I made a summoner build that got through Nightmare Act 4 on players 8 before i dropped it down to players 1 because it got too tedious. I then mostly breezed through the rest of the game including beating the hardest difficulty. The only real problems being fire + physical immune enemies since that was the only types of damage the summons could do, the hirelings are terrible after Normal unless you really grind for good gear, and you get incredibly fragile without good gear yourself because your resistances are highly penalized. Fortunately, a summoner Warlock could spend the majority of stats on vitality because you didn't really need anything else and one of the skills transfers damage to the summons. The game ran mostly fine though I did have an issue in one of the act 5 areas of the hardest difficulty (frozen tundra I think) where the waypoint never showed up. Given that I also encountered doors that didn't appear to exist, they looked open, but I couldn't walk through until my summons destroyed it, I think it was bugged. It probably would've been resolved by exiting and restarting the game.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I almost shed a tear playing this game. Truly a nostalgic throwback to my youth. This is a fair remaster that captures the original game perfectly. I play on a Linux handheld and I'm impressed how well the game plays on a gamepad. It's almost like they took the original game and only threw in higher resolution textures. I don't mind since I truly want the original nostalgic game. But, I've seen remasters be completely and utterly trashed in reviews for doing just that. If you find that lazy then understand what you're buying here. Your character is either online or offline chosen at creation (but never both). If you want the option of playing with friends then the game will be online only for you. It's fine for me, but I do understand it's annoying for others. The game requires that you go online at least every 30 days, regardlessly of what type of characters you create. I've booted up the game being fully online but still had a "Please go online every 30 days to play the game" prompt. So, the devs haven't really nailed the technical part and I see how this is a blocker for offline players.
It's still a very addicting and nostalgic game, they did a great job with the remaster. I also have it on Xbox, but it's like they wanted another $25 just for the warlock DLC, but on Steam it's $40 and it comes with the DLC, plus it was meant to be played on the computer. I will say, the new warlock class is amazing, but I don't really have enough interest to buy for like $40 on Diablo 4. Plus, Diablo 2 is still the best game in the series. It's been fun playing through again, mostly as something to do while listening to podcasts, usually about gloomy depressing topics like US history. With all the different games in this genre, there still hasn't been much that's as well designed as Diablo 2, and compared to it's sequels, I like here where items actually matter, like vendors have a purpose and random drops can be game changing, where in 3 and 4, you want to salvage every item and roll random crafting until you get something epic.
