Ok, it's bad... really bad. I was interested by the idea and the trailer gave me hope, but the game is a deception : - Crash 90% of the time, Ok the dev said they are working on it but still no improvment or solution. - Gamepad works badly, you need a mousse to select in config and the game is not optimised for it - In fact the game is not optimised at all, it slow slow slow and I have a excellent config - It's half-finished : no music, intro scene is broken, sounds or voices are missing or not synchronised... - It's not fun, I was expecting a nice adventure/puzzle with a cool universe, but when you can finally play everything is dull, every joke fall flat or already seen... I wanted to give this game a chance despite the botched launch and because of some reviews but it is a dissapointment. Finally, I'm very angry at the devs. A quick look and you'll find that developers are behind the positive reviews for this game... Apparently, they don't have more urgent matter (like fixing or improving things) than posing as players to misguide people. I could have give this game another chance later but not after this ! DGU, it is done for me. And I want my money back !
D.G.U. is a game I really want to like. It has all the personality and charm that you would want in a game like this. Making fun of pop culture references and being completely silly in nature. The gameplay is rather simplistic but for an adventure that is perfectly fine. The best way to put it is that the tone of D.G.U. is superb. From graphics to music, everything is adorable and strange. Where things fall apart are the technical aspects of this title. From resolution bugs, extremely long load times and lack of cohesive gameplay. I felt I spent more time battling the bugs and looking at loading screens then actually playing the game. When the game did manage to work well, the framerate would suddenly tank for no reason at all. The optimization needs to be fixed for this to be an enjoyable title because the issues suck the fun out of the game. Now the question stands, does the good outweigh the bad? I would say yes, I wanted to see more about the game, it's puzzles, humor, and gameplay. I still do, however the issues make it a sour experience. So I would recommend this game if you truly love the humor, genre, and don't mind dealing with optimization issues. I made a video review to show off some of the features and gameplay of this game! https://youtu.be/YjEDXgZ20Lg I hope you enjoy! Martyr
Not finish, crash, wait of patch.
The game looked great and I really liked the Idea and wanted to play it. However, when I tried to play it for the first time it crashed after playing the tutorial and taking a quest from one of the classrooms (bummer). The game looked and felt good to play. After the first crash I launched the game again and saw in the load level window that I already had a quest so I chose to load the game through that. After sometime I got loaded into the game (In the School) I walked towards the bus and a map thingy opened up from there I could choose what all levels I could go to. Here the game crashed again. I read through the discussions thread and the previous reviews that the game is crashing and the developers are looking into it and working on a patch but I couldn’t find it anywhere how to make the game work, so finally I decided to try and do it myself, I will also be writing down a list of tips and things that you can do to play the game and progress in it. I have finished 2 quests so far and there are some really funny scenarios that happened and made me write this review. First of all NOT a bad game just needs patching REALLY quickly. Pros: • Cute and beautiful art style. • The Idea is very interesting. • Some really funny targets and Intro videos. • The game has some fun mini-games. • The world seems fun because of the funny dialogues the people say. • Really dig the logo. Cons: • The game crashes a lot (will update after the patch). • Not very well optimised. • Well this one is a bit from my own perspective, for the hints and the items I had to think really hard on how and where to use them. (I am not a very smart person :P) Tips: • If the game crashes try launching it again and play through the load level screen • It the game crashes after taking a quest then the next time you play, go to the bus outside the school and play the level with the picture of the target. • If the screen goes black after loading try and move the mouse, it sometimes does that. • The developers are working on a patch (read discussions thread) hoping to fix the crashes. Overall I will give this game a 3/5 (will update depending on the patch)
Do not buy, crashes to desktop when trying to start first mission after tutorial. Several people posted on forums about it zero dev response. Will update when/if dev ever decides to change it so that they are selling a working game and not just a tutorial. Update, issue has been fixed and not finding anymore issues yet. Devs going above and beyond to contact and attempt to fix issues. It's safe to say that if you buy this game and have a problem that I have yet to notice, devs do check forums and work their butts off to resolve any issues. Will update further with actual game review once I've had a bit more time to play it further.
I find this game very interesting for the fact it reminds me of neighbors from hell ( which was a really amazing , setting traps and all , wasted a lot of my time on it too ) . Even though there are some minor issues with the game i personally found it really fun ( running around the map is a little pain though). I play games mostly on weekends and it took me a good 3-4 weeks to finally finish the game playing on weekends . Overall i would rate this game 7/10 and if you are a fan of games like neighbors from hell then i suggest you try this game out .
Death God Uuiversity. If nothing else, the title itself piques your interest. And true to it's name - the concept of the game is pretty awesome. You are a student in a University, training to be a Death God. And your assignements consist of assasination missions - or maybe asassination makes it sound too sophiticated. You just have to kill people - no hidden blades or exploding gunpowder is used though. And therein lies it's true potential - the innovative killing methods. Now if I just knew this much, I would have been interested enough to try it - but there's more. To make the game more fun, the targets are not ordinary people. In fact, most of them are not even "bad guys" in the traditional sense. Take Miley Cyrus for example. Not technically speaking bad, but annoying enough for you to have joked about killing her at least once with your friends. At least I did - and if you didn't then perhaps you should. What's funnier is that you find her in a construction area, surrounded by wrecking balls! This game is pure pun galore, and without giving any more spoilers - this is the gist of what the game is about. The teachers, targets and characters in the game are all borrowed from pop culture, fiction or even mythology - and the unlikelihood of these characters actually being in the situations that the game puts you in, is what makes this an enjoyable experience. (Fun Fact - Did you know Harry Potter smokes?... Like a lot?) Now coming to my only 2 qualms with the game. 1) Poor framerates, random crashes etc. The technical problems was what marred my experience the most when I first played the game. But the devs responded soon enough, and now theres a patch (2 in fact, although I've not tried the latest one still) that fixes most of the problems. I have not got a single crash after the patch, and the overall camera swivels have become much smoother after patch 1. 2) A slightly diverted plotline. While it is fun to go kill people in unimaginable ways, sometimes you hope for a much more advanced sense of coherence to the overall theme - and DGU manages to do some of it, but not all. I'm only a few hours into the game - so I'm probably making rash early judgements - but there could be a bit more done to make it all come together in a unified sort of manner. Nevertheless, DGU makes up for it's techincal flaws with a fun concept and humurous characters. The little fellows all run with their arms behind them in an almost anime-like style, and speak in a language that's akin to the minions from Despicable Me. It's totally worth a shot if you're bored playing the run of the mill kind of games being released these days, and while you may find flaws with some aspects, you will enjoy the game as a whole if you relate to this type of gameplay.
버그가 고쳐질때까진 잘 모르겠네요 게임 자체는 참 재밌어 보이는데 실행이 안됩니다. 제작사가 첫날부터 일을 안하네요. 버그 고쳐주기전까지는 비추..
So, after reading a couple of positive reviews, I gave this game a go. I'm 3 hours into the game. ignoring the crashes, which I am sure the devs are working on, the game plays well. It has got some really twisted humor with regards to killing the targets. I was able to complete all the quest given by "Goddess Freja" and so far it felt good. I really hope the devs will make this bug free soon.
лаги, краши, буду ждать обновы, слишком сырая игра, но идея очень понравилась, оформление тоже. озвучка смешная.
