The year is 2052. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

If you can tank a lil jank this game will yank your peanits, in a good way. I almost put it down in the first level or two from the age and jank, but I decided to tuff it out and I'm glad I did, pretty damn good game. And somehow alot of the narrative beats are as topical today as ever. Certainly the grand daddy of im-sims and holds up surprisingly well when you get comfy with it.
Само прохождение игры заняло у меня 19 часов с настройкой самой игры под меня, редкими затупами и детальным изучением большей части локаций. Deus EX провел меня через все стадии immersive sim: Попав в UNATCO JC был мирным копом, который отрицает убийства (Из-за чего проходил игру в темпе улитки заглядывая в каждый угол и читая каждый компик);

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really wish steam had an "it's alright, I guess" option, because that's exactly how i feel about it. However, the jank you have to encounter while playing it definitely knocks it down to negative. Like, yes, I get it, this game is older than a good chunk of steam users, but it's not 2000s anymore and what was tolerable then isn't tolerable now (even taking into the account how dirt cheap it is), especially with a sprinkle of instability and crashes on top. In the 20 hours it took me to finish the story, it crashed 5 or 6 times, wasting about an hour of my life. There are also no conveniences like autosaves, detailed settings, neatly pre-configured key mappings, and so on - your normal old game stuff. I'm sure if I played this 20+ years ago, I would've had a great time - there was a lot of thought put into this, and it still might be ahead in some moments compared to your average cookie-cutter RPG, but man the overall experience is just really rough by current standards. If you're fine with all that and into the cyberpunk genre (which is extremely starved), I highly recommend to sweep through forums for fixes beforehand, do not rawdog it.
Love it. The mechanics is clunky I give you that, but still playable, and I enjoy playing the game until the end. For every Deus Ex fans, this is a must play.

didnt expect much because i usually don't like older games but this was peak
"Why are you locked in the bathroom?" This game is a gem from the 2000s. The sassy unhinged JC Denton is probably one of the most memorable protagonists of any game, despite how low budget the VA was and how the graphics have aged worse than those of Half-Life which, btw, this game shares quite a bit of mechanics so any 90s FPS fans will be right at home. I don't have too much to say about it, for the mere fact that i feel you should discover by yourself how the plot develops, discovering some wacky conspiracies that will probably leave you as unhinged as Denton himself. Im aware a remaster of this game is upcoming and, even tho the graphics aged badly, i still think whenever it has released by the time you read this or not, you should buy the original GOTY to experience it as it was. You will have to move a few things related to resolution and graphics but after that it should work flawlessly. Play the original base game before getting any mods and then, sink yourself in the conspiracy. Score: 8/10
TL;DR: Worthy. Took my "definitely-on-the-spectrum-ass" 84 hrs to complete my first ever playthrough of a game I keep hearing about for decades, while exploring every door, every dark corner, every secret, every book/newspaper/email/datapad, every dialogue option and all endings. Besides hearing about it being a "masterpiece", I started without expectations for a game from the year 00 and I kept getting surprised and immersed. Had an urge to "experience everything". The flavor/theme of the story is right up my alley. I imagine that in the year 00' many things depicted in the story sounded so weird and fictional... oh how times have changed ;-) Just shows how this game was ahead of its time. Gameplay itself and the settings (especially keybinds) are a bit dated, but it never ones broke on me (and I tried). Not a single crash. That says a lot. Patching the game to support modern resolutions and framerate was simple as dropping few files into the game directory, and I recommend everyone to do that.
Terrible Game. Does not age well in 2026.
Played it so much in the early 2000s, it's an awesome RPG and a great conspiracy thriller. Dated graphics, but immersive RPGs like this are few and far in between. A must play.
