DETECTIVE – Stella Porta Case is a first-person investigative mystery developed by k148 Game Studio and published by JanduSoft that builds upon a grounded, deduction-focused approach to crime solving. Rather than framing itself as an action-driven thriller, the game centers on methodical investigation, careful evidence analysis, and logical reasoning. You step into the role of a police detective assigned to unravel three separate disappearances, all of which appear to be linked to a mysterious organization known as Stella Porta. What begins as isolated cases gradually unfolds into a broader conspiracy, encouraging players to think beyond individual crime scenes and examine the patterns that connect them. The gameplay revolves around exploring crime scenes in first-person perspective and collecting evidence through observation and interaction. Each location is designed to be scrutinized carefully, with objects that can be inspected, photographed, and marked as relevant. Unlike many modern detective games that clearly highlight interactive elements, Stella Porta Case requires players to actively search for clues without excessive guidance. This design reinforces immersion and demands attentiveness. Important details may be subtle, and overlooking them can delay progress, reinforcing the importance of patience and thoroughness. After investigating crime scenes, players return to their office to organize findings and piece together deductions. Evidence must be reviewed and logically connected to construct a coherent understanding of each case. The game emphasizes intellectual engagement over spectacle, often requiring players to revisit prior assumptions and reassess conclusions as new information emerges. The three cases are structured to stand on their own while simultaneously contributing to a larger narrative arc. This layered approach adds depth to the story, encouraging players to analyze overarching motives rather than focusing solely on immediate suspects. Narratively, the tone is dark and serious, dealing with mature subject matter such as disappearance, manipulation, and moral ambiguity. The portrayal of crime is grounded and avoids sensationalism, opting instead for a somber atmosphere that reflects the gravity of the events being investigated. Dialogue and environmental storytelling convey a sense of unease, suggesting hidden agendas and systemic corruption beneath the surface. The interconnected nature of the cases builds tension as players gradually uncover how the Stella Porta organization may be orchestrating events behind the scenes. Visually, the game adopts a realistic but modest aesthetic. Environments are functional and serve their investigative purpose without excessive embellishment. Crime scenes are designed with enough detail to support evidence gathering, though the overall presentation remains relatively understated. Sound design complements the atmosphere with subdued ambient audio, enhancing the feeling of isolation during investigations. While the graphics do not aim for cinematic flair, they support the grounded tone of the narrative. The pacing is deliberate and at times slow, reflecting the methodical nature of real-world investigations. There are no high-speed chases or combat encounters to punctuate the experience. Instead, progress depends entirely on your ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions. This design choice may not appeal to players seeking fast-paced excitement, but it aligns well with the game’s commitment to realism. Solving each case feels less like advancing through scripted events and more like completing a complex logic puzzle. However, the same dedication to realism can occasionally lead to frustration. The lack of explicit direction means that players who miss key clues may feel uncertain about how to proceed. Evidence systems require careful attention, and without clear indicators of what is significant, trial and error may become part of the experience. For players who enjoy autonomy and intellectual challenge, this can be rewarding. For others, it may feel opaque or overly demanding. Ultimately, DETECTIVE – Stella Porta Case is a niche but ambitious entry in the investigative adventure genre. It prioritizes authenticity, deduction, and narrative cohesion over action and spectacle. Its interconnected cases and mature tone create a compelling foundation for players willing to invest the time and focus required. While its pacing and minimalist guidance may limit its accessibility, those who appreciate methodical crime-solving and immersive detective work will find a thoughtful and intellectually engaging experience that rewards careful analysis and attention to detail.
It si a good investigation game with an atmosphere similar to films of the genre.
wow

DETECTIVE - Stella Porta Case

Positives:
+ Good idea + Mostly nice graphics + Nicely designed areas to explore + Good music + The atmosphere + Some parts got a Blade Runner vibe to it + Zoom function + FOV Adjuster + Interesting and a bit mysterious + Achievements
Negatives:
- Head-bob that cant be disabled - Cant use the run function or notebook - Slow walking speed - Not the best controls - Typos and weird translations - Some of the outside areas are not the best graphics-wise - Quite taxing and unstable - A lot of bugs - A lot of unused potential - Weird and rushed ending - Very short (over in 1-1.5 hours)
Conclusion:
This was an ok little indie detective game. But it felt a bit more like a rushed demo than a full game. There was so much potential here, but it needs to be of higher quality and a whole lot longer. Still its worth a playthrough if you're into games like these.
Total Score: 6.5/10
Coming from someone who has never made a game so take with a grain of salt. The idea is there and has a nice foundation. Slow walking, drag the story out a little and causes some frustration. Worth if you can get on EXTREME sale. Finished the game in less than an hour and had some trouble figuring out events. Would love to see a fully flushed out game instead of a lot of little games from this developer and publisher.
