希望尽量支持简中,不然都不知道新手引导咋操作呢。
This is an upgrade from the Stella case, you can move around faster and the logic in the deductions is better. Still a little off on the translation of things. Again would love to see a fully fleshed game then these small little cases. Would not recommend at full price maybe on sale.
DETECTIVE – Minerva Case is a narrative-focused investigative adventure developed by k148 Game Studio and published by JanduSoft that places players in the role of a detective tasked with solving a complex murder in a futuristic world shaped by powerful technology. The game blends classic crime investigation mechanics with science-fiction elements, creating a story-driven experience centered on observation, deduction, and exploration. Set in the year 2068, the narrative begins with the discovery of a murdered hacker who was connected to a major technology company preparing to release an advanced artificial intelligence known as Minerva. What appears at first to be a single homicide gradually unfolds into a larger conspiracy involving corporate secrets, hidden motives, and the potential dangers of powerful AI systems. The story is presented as a series of investigative chapters in which the player must carefully examine crime scenes and gather evidence. Each location contains clues scattered throughout the environment, and players must inspect objects, read documents, and analyze digital files in order to reconstruct the sequence of events that led to the crime. The game does not rely heavily on guiding markers or automatic hints, which means that players must pay close attention to details and think critically about how different pieces of evidence connect to one another. This approach gives the experience a more authentic investigative feel, as solving the mystery requires patience and logical reasoning rather than simply following highlighted objectives. Exploration is conducted from a first-person perspective, allowing players to freely move around each environment while examining objects of interest. Crime scenes are designed as contained areas that encourage thorough inspection. A room may hold subtle clues hidden in unexpected places, such as messages on a computer terminal, documents stored in drawers, or visual hints within the environment itself. By interacting with these elements, players slowly build a clearer picture of what occurred before the crime. Once enough evidence has been collected in the field, the investigation continues back at the detective’s office, where the gathered information can be reviewed and connected in order to move the case forward. The narrative structure revolves around several interconnected incidents that eventually reveal the broader story behind the Minerva project. As the investigation progresses, the player begins to uncover the relationship between the murdered hacker and the corporation responsible for developing the artificial intelligence. The deeper the detective digs, the more it becomes clear that the case is not simply about a single victim but rather about powerful individuals attempting to control or conceal information related to new technology. The presence of advanced AI in the storyline introduces questions about the ethical limits of innovation, corporate influence, and the ways in which technology can shape society. One of the game’s strengths lies in how it encourages players to think like investigators rather than simply following a linear storyline. Clues are not always obvious, and some pieces of evidence may initially seem insignificant until they are combined with other discoveries later in the case. This structure rewards careful attention and exploration, making players feel more directly involved in solving the mystery. Instead of relying on action or dramatic set pieces, the tension comes from slowly uncovering connections between suspects, events, and hidden agendas. The game world itself is built around several distinct locations that players visit throughout the investigation. Each area contributes new information about the case and expands the narrative by introducing additional characters and perspectives. These environments are designed to feel believable and grounded within the futuristic setting, featuring offices, living spaces, and technological facilities that reflect the advanced society in which the story takes place. As players move between locations, the pieces of the puzzle gradually come together, revealing a larger conspiracy that reaches far beyond the original crime scene. Visually, DETECTIVE – Minerva Case uses a realistic 3D style that prioritizes atmosphere over graphical spectacle. The environments often feature subdued lighting and carefully arranged objects that support environmental storytelling. A cluttered desk, an open laptop, or a partially hidden document can all provide hints about a character’s actions or intentions. While the graphical fidelity may not rival that of large-budget detective games, the design successfully creates immersive spaces where players feel like they are truly examining a crime scene. Sound design also contributes to the investigative atmosphere. Background music remains subtle and restrained, allowing players to concentrate on reading documents and studying clues without distraction. Ambient sounds such as distant city noise, humming electronics, and quiet environmental effects help create a sense of place within the futuristic world. The audio presentation reinforces the mood of suspense without overpowering the player’s focus on the investigation itself. Despite its compelling premise, the game does show some of the limitations typical of smaller indie projects. Interactions with objects can occasionally feel slightly rigid, and the interface for reviewing evidence is relatively simple compared to more elaborate detective simulators. Some players may also find the pacing slower than expected, particularly because the game prioritizes careful exploration and deduction over action-oriented gameplay. However, this slower pacing is also part of what gives the experience its identity as a thoughtful investigative adventure. Ultimately, DETECTIVE – Minerva Case offers a focused and engaging mystery for players who enjoy narrative-driven detective stories. Its blend of crime-solving mechanics and science-fiction themes creates a world where technological innovation and human motives collide in unexpected ways. The experience rewards curiosity and patience, encouraging players to carefully analyze every clue in order to uncover the truth behind the murder. Overall, the game stands as a solid example of a story-centered detective adventure. While its modest production values and occasional technical roughness prevent it from reaching the polish of larger titles in the genre, its intriguing premise and thoughtful investigation mechanics make it a satisfying experience for fans of mystery games and narrative-driven exploration. Rating: 7/10
Pros: - interesting detective - great visuals - multiple stories Cons: - to test the results of your detective-work you must arrange some pictures, which is not too obvious. Finally: - The game works kind-of under Linux but not so great unfortunately; but it didnt claim it would so it is actually just a bonus. - guides are present to give some help.
Character moves frustratingly slow
