Still the best shared-world shooter I've ever played... I've been here since the original Destiny beta dropped in 2014. That's over a decade of Guardians, god rolls, and late-night raids. Between Steam and PlayStation I've got well over 4000 hours combined, with 1049 logged on Steam alone. This game has eaten more of my life than I care to admit, and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Even with Bungie's recent End of Service announcement and the final content update dropping back in June, I'm not going anywhere. The servers are still up, the raids still slap, and I'll keep logging in until they finally pull the plug. That's the kind of hold this game has on me. What keeps me coming back isn't just the gameplay—it's the *loop*. The raids are still some of the most satisfying cooperative experiences in gaming. Nothing beats that moment when your team finally clicks on a mechanics-heavy encounter after hours of wiping, the callouts get crisp, and you push through to the final chest. Dungeons scratch that same itch on a smaller scale with tight, puzzle-like design that rewards skill and coordination. And the strikes? Even after all these years, some of them still feel fresh when you load in with the right group and just vibe. The best part though? The people. Destiny introduced me to a ton of friends I never would've met otherwise. Random LFG groups that turned into regular raid teams. Discord calls that went from "who's got the banner?" to shooting the ♥♥♥♥ about real life for hours. Some of those friendships have outlasted multiple expansions. The game gives you these built-in social pressure tests—tough content that forces communication and trust—and somehow that translates into real bonds. Yeah, Bungie has had their ups and downs, and the wind-down of active development stings. But the core fantasy of being a space wizard with guns remains unmatched. The gunplay is buttery smooth, the buildcrafting is deep if you want to dive in, and the moments of pure spectacle still hit. 10/10, would get my 5000th hour before the servers finally go dark. Now that I've come back to Destiny 2 with a refreshed mindset, I've found that despite its flaws, Destiny 2 is still quite fun.
It's okay, don't think this will be a game where I put to much hours in.

i really wish this game was a passion project instead just another IP used to preach. GL trying to get your friends to play a game like this, i dont even know whats going on anymore and ive been playing this game sense my friends and i geeked out over D1 when it first came out.
