It seems you might be thinking of "Despot's Game," not "Despot Zombie." There doesn't appear to be a widely known game with the title "Despot Zombie." Assuming you meant Despot's Game, here's a review: Despot's Game is a darkly comedic roguelike tactical auto-battler where you manage a horde of squishy humans through a bizarre & deadly gauntlet. It's a game with a unique visual style, strategic depth, & a twisted sense of humor. You don't directly control your units in combat. Instead, you strategically equip them with weapons & items, position them on the battlefield, & then watch as they automatically engage the enemy. This creates a unique blend of strategy & RNG, as you need to carefully consider your unit composition & positioning to maximize their effectiveness. One of Despot's Game's strengths is its darkly humorous tone. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, & the absurd situations & over-the-top violence are often played for laughs. The pixel art style is also distinctive & adds to the game's charm. The game features a variety of unit types, each with their own strengths & weaknesses. You'll need to experiment with different combinations to find the most effective strategies. The roguelike elements add a layer of challenge & replayability, as each run presents new challenges & opportunities. However, Despot's Game's reliance on RNG can be frustrating at times. Some runs can be significantly easier or harder depending on the items & units you find. The lack of direct control over your units can also be frustrating for some players. **Pros:** * Unique & engaging auto-battler gameplay! 🤖 * Darkly humorous tone & distinctive art style! 😂 * Variety of unit types & strategic possibilities! ⚔️ * Roguelike elements add replayability! 🔄 **Cons:** * Reliance on RNG can be frustrating! 🎲 * Lack of direct control over units! 🤔 * Can be repetitive for some players! 🔁 **Verdict:** 7/10. Despot's Game is a unique & entertaining auto-battler that offers a darkly humorous & challenging experience. While its reliance on RNG & lack of direct control might not appeal to everyone, its strategic depth, distinctive art style, & twisted humor make it a worthwhile experience for fans of roguelikes & tactical games. It’s a game that’s easy to pick up but difficult to master. 😅 *** **Disclaimer:** These reviews are based on my personal experience & opinions. Your mileage may vary. Despot Zombie is a third-person action shooter that combines survival horror, post-apocalyptic storytelling, and light role-playing mechanics into a dark adventure where every decision can influence the path forward. Developed and published by Moonstar Games, the title presents a world devastated by a deadly virus that has transformed much of humanity into monstrous creatures. Rather than relying entirely on familiar zombie-shooter conventions, the game introduces a science fiction twist through its protagonist, Kurt, whose survival depends on an advanced artificial intelligence chip implanted in his brain. This unique premise creates an engaging narrative that explores the fragile balance between humanity and technology while giving players a reason to care about the story beyond simply eliminating enemies. The campaign follows Kurt as he navigates a hostile landscape filled with infected creatures, abandoned settlements, and hidden secrets that gradually reveal the truth behind the outbreak. The narrative emphasizes player choice, allowing important decisions to affect both the overall challenge and the eventual ending. This branching structure encourages players to think carefully before acting instead of treating every situation as a straightforward firefight. Although the storyline remains accessible and easy to follow, the inclusion of multiple outcomes adds replay value and gives the adventure a greater sense of consequence. Combat is the game's primary attraction, delivering fast-paced third-person gunplay against hordes of infected enemies and terrifying mutations. Battles demand constant movement, quick reactions, and efficient resource management as players face increasingly dangerous threats. Enemy encounters become more intense as new monster types appear, preventing the action from feeling overly repetitive. While the shooting mechanics are relatively easy to learn, surviving larger engagements requires awareness of enemy positioning and smart use of available weapons, creating satisfying moments of tension throughout the campaign. Beyond combat, Despot Zombie encourages exploration by rewarding players who investigate its ruined environments. The devastated world is filled with visual storytelling that reflects the collapse of civilization, from deserted buildings to eerie landscapes scarred by the infection. The blend of horror, science fiction, and dystopian imagery creates an unsettling atmosphere that remains one of the game's greatest strengths. Environmental details help reinforce the narrative without overwhelming players with excessive exposition, allowing the world itself to tell part of the story. Role-playing elements further enhance the experience by giving players opportunities to improve Kurt's capabilities as the adventure progresses. Character growth complements the game's action-oriented design without overshadowing it, providing a sense of progression that keeps encounters feeling rewarding. Combined with the branching narrative, these systems encourage experimentation and offer enough flexibility for players to develop their preferred style while adapting to increasingly difficult situations. The presentation successfully supports the game's dark themes. Its environments favor gloomy lighting, ruined architecture, and unsettling creature designs that emphasize the hopelessness of a civilization consumed by catastrophe. The mature tone is reinforced through graphic violence, disturbing imagery, and the constant threat posed by the infected population. Although the production values reflect the scale of an independent project rather than a major blockbuster release, the visual direction effectively captures the oppressive mood that the developers set out to achieve. Despite its strengths, the game is not entirely free of limitations. Some gameplay systems follow familiar genre conventions, and experienced fans of third-person shooters may find certain mechanics predictable. A greater variety of enemies, expanded progression systems, and additional gameplay innovations could have elevated the experience further. Likewise, some technical aspects and animations occasionally reveal the game's modest development budget. Fortunately, these shortcomings rarely diminish the enjoyment provided by its engaging combat, atmospheric environments, and intriguing narrative. Overall, Despot Zombie delivers an entertaining blend of action, horror, and science fiction with enough original ideas to distinguish itself from many independent zombie shooters. Its combination of meaningful choices, satisfying third-person combat, immersive world-building, and a compelling AI-driven storyline creates an experience that remains engaging from beginning to end. Players who appreciate story-focused survival adventures with a dark atmosphere and steady action will likely find plenty to enjoy despite the game's smaller production scale. Rating: 6/10

Here's a Totally Objective Review of the Game - https://youtu.be/fqVw8FgQcLQ Rating: 10/10
This game is in no way optermized, and uses ai music loops... but the loops kinda vibe.... This isn't a good game, its easier to find breaks in the world than the exit doors... but it scratches an itch. Do not buy this game. but I kinda like it. If it weren't for the catastrophic optermisation issuses this might be a good free game but to pay for it is simply wrong.
Not worth the $4 if you do pay for it, horribly unoptimized, I crashed 3 times even when on Medium/Low graphics. Despite being well above spec with Ryzen 9 5900x and Radeon 7900XT. Humor was bad and stale, AI generated voice-lines and no volume control for the audio
Honestly i tried to like the game and even play it more but.... forget about it. Trailer is really good and cativates people to tryout the game... but the game is horrible. But i believe if u want u can turn it to be a good game for sure.
