best puzzle game

I love this game so much. Not only is it a great detective game, it also has a heartfelt story. Please play this! I am staying tuned to whatever this team makes next.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game throughout the entire experience. The game uses its computer gimmick well to manipulate files and use features from your in-game computer in really unique and creative ways, especially with how the game tells its story. The game gives you space to learn new tools as you progress, and pushes those toolss in ways that you wouldn't expect and I really felt a healthy challenge come from this. There were a few puzzles that I personally felt weren't as clear with how you wanted to solve them, like the hourglass puzzle, but overall it was a great experience, and does a great job at keeping you engaged throughout the experience.

This game is absolutely fantastic. I just happened to stumble upon it randomly and tried out the demo. I am really glad I tried the demo, because It invoked those feelings I got when doing various IT CTF events. The story is great. I loved every minute of it and I wish there was more. Even after finishing and getting almost 100% achievements it feels like there is more to unlock, like the story completion was a red herring and there is more truth left to discover... Overall I would highly recommend this if you like CTF style puzzles and being required to think outside the box. And to echo what someone else said, it's one of those that you only get to fully experience once. I really hope there is more like this.

A very interesting puzzle game that relies on the in-game computer file system as the main gimmick, Desktop Explorer utilises this system well to craft increasingly difficult and well designed puzzles as the player intuit more of the underlying mechanics, building off of the guidance and solution of previous puzzles. Even so, what ultimately won me over was not the puzzles but the sheer strength of the game's narrative plot, which gets you hooked from the get go and never let it up, complimenting seamlessly with the puzzles in the game to make for a truly immersive experience. The end of the final act left me speechless, just staring at the screen as the credits rolled. Definitely go into it with no spoilers, you'll thank me for it later. Throughout my playthrough, I felt like almost all of the puzzles were fair and well designed (with the exception of 2 which I felt could've used slightly better hinting), though an ingame additional hint/clue system would've been welcome. All in all, an extremely strong title, both for its puzzle mechanic, story, and how both elements interwove seamlessly to make for a complete experience. Highly, highly recommended.
