This might be the most over-the-top game ever made. The first boss is a gyaru piloting a magical girl mecha made of trains, and the game somehow keeps finding ways to one-up itself every time you think it can't get any cooler. Might be my GOTY.
This gameplay really IS on the RAILS. haha. they made my skateboarding game better by destroying the ability to freeroam. AND ITS AWESOME YES I LOVE NOT HAVING CHOICES AHAHAHHAHA great game

Tony Hawk + Jet Set radio on rails with a strong anti-capitalist/anti-cop message. I don't know how much more my ♥♥♥♥ this could be.
This is just a fun game. I haven't had a game that was just about fun and enjoyment for quite a while. Not since jet grind radio future. It was a breath of fresh air in the gaming industry where we don't games full of soul very often anymore.
Easily my GOTY 2026. Denshattack! offers an experience that I haven't had in gaming in a loooooong time. It's visually stunning, the gameplay feels extremely fluid and fast-paced, the story is easy to digest, and the music... Hoooo boy, the music. Strap in, bucko, cause here's the cherry on top. And it's a BIG CHERRY. This game features an insane cast of composers (+24, I believe), such as Andrew One (TMNT: Shredder's Revenge), Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania), Richard Jacques (JSRF), and even guest composers too, like 2 Mello and THE DO DO DOs, offering an music experience like no other. Hell, I'd even go as far as to say the music really makes the game. Racing around on these tracks at mach speed (literally sometimes) while blasting the OST really gets you in the zone. I just 100%'d the game on time of review, and I've easily put x3 the time into listening to the OST. Seriously cannot recommend this game enough. I haven't seen a game with so much style stick to its guns in forever, and it's a wild ride from start to finish.
play densha attack do it
Level 6-9-B made me give it a negative. The closing doors make it seem like you are supposed to jump in the center of the hole to get through it, but in order to ACTUALLY get through, you are supposed to sit on the rails, as there is an extremely tiny gap that you can barely see. I will edit my review after I finish the game as there are positive things I would like to add about the game, such as the music, the art, and the stunt mechanic. But I also have more negative aspects to write about, such as lack of freedom on when you can do the stunts, the warning markers coming after you already got obliterated by the obstacle as your train is going mach 5, the game glitching and not detecting you are supposed to land on the rails, and instead killing you. Last complaint would be some of the level design. There are many stages where you can't tell if there will be a sharp left or right to take, and if you dared to jump, clueless that there will be a turn to make, say goodbye to your combo and score baby boy. This to me, feels like a cheap way of forcing me to replay the level in order to get a better medal, when my expectation would be that if I react in time and not get greedy, I would be rewarded, and if I don't, then it would be my fault for overestimating the amount of tricks I can do and would be punished for it. Which I would have no issue with, if that were the case. I would also like to point out that I don't consider this as a problem if you do not care about the medal system, but I do. I usually enjoy failing and finding ways to improve in games when it comes to getting rewarded for proper execution and observation, but this is not the case for Denshattack unfortunately.
