a better, tighter package than the base game. i eventually found demon turf dull. the game starts to blend together because it goes for grandeur over substance. neon splash does not allow for that. pure platforming from start to finish, with extra unlockable hard mode levels. tight movement, decent design all around, and no wasted time. at the very least, worth a decent consideration from anyone.
Unlike the original Demon Turf, this stand-alone DLC only focuses on the platformer aspect, so there aren't any fights or combat phases which weren't the greatest in the base game. I have to mention that it's not well optimized like the main game, I had issues with stuttering and drop of frames. I tried to disable screen effects to improve the performance, but it didn't help at all (keep in mind my PC isn't new). Neon Splash was a short but very exciting expansion, featuring well-designed platformer levels and neat soundtracks. Beware this DLC was also added to the base game with the Queen's Edition free update, with the only difference being that only this stand-alone DLC has achievements.
This was a standalone DLC, I don't know why but it was....now you get it when you buy the base game. This one has better controls and gets rid of grappling hook and the time slow down mechanic. Now you activate snake and bird by pressing a single button, so no wheel select any more. There are also some minor changes that are a good addition. This DLC is a proof that the developers are listening and willing to change some flaws that the base game has. So, they should listen to this. The color pallet/scheme is awful ! It is over saturated beyond good taste. The OST is not my cup of tea. I recommended the base game and this short DLC is more like a sign that the developer is taking the criticism on board. This is (like always) my honest opinion so that is all I guess.

[Played on an Xbox One controller] Fun mini-sequel of a great game! It also has no combat (so no enemies) and has a nicer movement with the abilities. I got all achievements.
https://youtu.be/wN7JU76U6GY Mixing 2D characters in a 3D world causes friction with the gameplay as determining player position is never quite clear.
More fast paced than the original
Good game
太滑了手感,感觉像是在操纵一块黄油玩跑酷
It's not that long but for it's price it's a good deal. Fairly linear levels, speedrun timer is just a few mins each so you can restart each attempt without getting frustrated about the lost time. If you want more like it after, check out the Toree series, same gameplay style just lower budget. I like these types of games so even though i have the main game (this is half a stand alone DLC and half a story continue but very light) so did pay for it rather than get it for free through the bundle to support devs.
