This game is a hardcore platformer and definitely not my first. I've beaten Electronic Super Joy, Super Meat Boy, Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams and a few others. There are certainly fun stages and a lot of challenge here, but there are also issues that need to be addressed. I enjoyed the traditional stages, but I take issue with the Curses stages. Quite a few of them felt unreasonably tight even by hardcore standards and you end up stuck in high intensity without any break since those levels don't have checkpoints. Also, some of the later curses levels also have a death laser hot on your heels, which feels unnecessarily redundant. Be ready for your hands to hurt. There are also possible glitch issues with the character's weapon. I have had multiple times with the vampiress where she'd kill and enemy with her sword and still die, which doesn't feel right. The cat girl's slash animation and damage don't even come out sometimes when you hit the button. X( Speaking of which, yeah, there's more than one playable character and they have different abilities, but the levels are all the same, making the option seem more like filler.

Maaaan that will suck, oh well. I honestly don't recommend it. The game is quite good and solid. It's a "super meat boy" style of game, with short "hard" stages but without the refining meat boy has. And that makes a great difference. Super meat boy everything happens the same way, the same time, which gives you a learning curve for every stage where you learn the position of things and the timing to do them. Here in demon hearts you don't have the "timing" nor the "monsters" learning curve. The monsters position don't reset after death, or they reset at random positions, which nullifies 100% of the learning curve through "timing". Also some stages has moving plataforms that also doesn't reset or resets at random position. Because of those two points, you most likely will be meeting the monsters with different timing and different positions which will result a slighty different comportament which will nullify the "monster" learning curve. Not having this learning curve makes this game a completely different type of game and i didn't like it at all. Most of the game is pretty easy and straight forward, but there was 2 stages (last boss and the last "cursed one" before the last boss) that were just way too hard. Since there's no "timing" and the monsters and the plataform would aways change position/comportament they were just annoying. Feel like you know pretty well how to finish them, but the slighty changes would break you off over and over again. That didn't gave me any satisfaction after i finished them, not having the "static stages" made me feel like i just had lucky that time and i were so annoyed that i just felt relieved rather than satisfied. Still, the game, like i said before, IS solid and well made. It's also cheap, despise being quite short, so the price follows the time to beat it and for that, i won't "not recommend".

estremamente difficile per i miei standard,ma nonostante tutto si riesce a progredire,ho trovato i comandi ,usando il pad della 360,estremamente sensibili,tanto che ho dovuto rifare vari livelli per decine di volte per calibrare i salti,il prezzo è onesto ma lo consiglio solo a chi ama i rage game
