I love this game! Very well executed. The web of interconnections between policies, demographics, events, and things like the economy, pollution, public health, crime etc. is detailed without being overwhelmingly complex(after a few hours of getting used to it). I just wish I could get out of my deficit spending, but the constitchency is always busting my balls to solve some crisis and nobody wants to pay taxes... ungrateful mfers.
like it so far

The game has some rather contradictory consequences, but do better, this game is based.
Good game
worthy successor to demo 3
Surprisingly fun. I've spent the better part of my last two evenings enjoying this game. I wish I'd bought it sooner. I will say its a bit of a learning curve and Im still playing with easier countries, but its been so fun so far.
This game is wack honestly. It's crazy that they haven't expanded on the game systems at all through 4 games. I don't see any real improvements or new mechanics over the previous game. No matter if you're dealing with healthcare, the environment, tax policy, or immigration the only option is to move a slider. Despite how every single policy is implemented in a dead simple manner, there just aren't that many different policies you can use. It's also insane that the game is called "Democracy" and you can't play as China or Russia but there are no gameplay reasons for this. There are no limits on your power outside from occasional popularity contests and the only difference between countries is that their numbers start in different places. A lot can be said about the political implications and assumptions the mechanics imply but suffice to say that it's extremely simplistic and not in a way that's very fun or interesting. You may have fun playing with the sliders for a while but overall it's not a very compelling experience.
It's a nice policy simulation game. Connections between causes and effects are understandable. I wouldn't say it's great as a political simulation though. I don't feel like there's a real opposition with related groups of people supporting it. But I like to play with policies so I can recommend.
Does not take very long to play!
