Democracy 4 lets you take the role of President / Prime minister, govern the country (choosing its policies, laws and other actions), and both transform the country as you see fit, while trying to retain enough popularity to get re-elected...

Reviews
It was very nice. I was able to abolish the actual democracy aspect of it and institute total, undisputed state control. Would recommend, maybe get some mods to add to the content.

One of best political games on Steam. Democracy 4 makes policy making and governance more accessible and engaging. Democracy 4 should have a feature where you can turn AI on and watch the election unfold without your input. That would make this game better.
There once was a game about rule, That thought spreadsheets made it look cool. I clicked and I schemed, But nothing was grand My choices just sat there as if sand.
Yes, and...no? This is a great game if you are into small details, slow burn, wanting to take control of every teeny aspect of your government. Me? I found it a little overwhelming, and a little more in-depth than what I was looking for. I'm going to be asking for a refund.
The best political simulator game on Steam. Despite having beat the game several times with all nations, and unlocking all the achievements, I still keep coming back from time to time to give it one more playthrough.
The options and solutions are not nearly as granular as they should be. You have every social issue but no options to fund specific agencies. Its hard to raise taxes without Tax evasion. Cutting military spending by 99% has no impact on anything??? I love an excel spread sheet game but D4 is underdeveloped.
An upgrade from Democracy 3, this is such an awesome game, really dives deep into a ton of polarizing elements with the ability to view the pros and cons from each side. I like having a 3rd party in the mix during Dem4 and the QoL added within the main UI. Great game, check it out, it's neat to see how people play the game when they realize the pros and cons for each choice.
