Tagged spoilers herein. First one's very light, second one less so but still vague. Click at your own risk etc. Leading with the negative, it can certainly be derivative, in ways: [spoiler]nebulous purple goop serving as a tangible metaphor for bad feelings[/spoiler] isn't exactly reinventing the indie game wheel, and the sheer presence of it across the game's chapters muddies a palette of otherwise great visuals. The gameplay contains similarly few surprises if you've played INSIDE and the like before. Yet its earnestness, charming set pieces, and well-balanced tone will still stir you if you haven't become completely jaded to what this game is going for. It's very much what it says on the tin, doing exactly what it sets out to do; therefore, if the trailers appeal to you, the game will deliver, and if you have your doubts, you may end up simply whelmed save for some pretty great music tracks. I can understand being disappointed by it not going the extra mile, but for my tastes, its heartfelt nature landed on-target ([spoiler]even if I have my little quibbles with how metaphysical the final act is, since I was appreciating the actual physical journey the boy was taking[/spoiler]) and its stand-out moments linger with me. It's cute, warm, plays well, and doesn't pull too many of its punches in the name of kitschy coziness. I got what I asked for, and if you're not asking for games like this yourself, well, I think you should be.

Este juego me recuerda mucho a Ori And The Blind Forest, es visualmente bonito y tiene una banda sonora que, a pesar de ser independiente, logra combinar con los escenarios del juego, un bonito mensaje sobre: "Buscar la aceptación de una perdida, y buscar una luz de esperanza" al menos para mi eso fue lo que me dio a entender.

Ich kann die Arbeit an diesem Spiel sehr wertschätzen, würde dennoch ein neutrale Bewertung geben. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass ich das Spiel für ein Cozy Game hielt, im Sinne von Highland Song, womit ich mich allerdings täuschte, da es (für mich) zu einem Plot-Twist kam, der Mechaniken einbrachte, die mich (einerseits positiv) an Planet of Lana erinnerten. Dies brachte für mich (andererseits) aber die Story im Spiel etwas durcheinander und ich ging zunächst davon aus, dass da etwas fantasiert wird (hinsichtlich des Kindes, als Hauptprotagonist). Wurde es spieltechnisch jedoch nicht, oder vielleicht doch. Es wirkte für mich etwas deplatziert. Zusammengefasst war es Insgesamt es ein grafisch schöner Ansatz, mit angenehmen Sound und leider viel zu seichten Momenten, in denen man etwas nachdenken musste (das Wort Rätsel wäre hier ein Euphemismus), ohne jedoch wirklich gefordert zu werden und einer Story, die ich verstanden, aber nicht gefühlt oder nachempfunden habe. Trotz allem war es ok (6/10), ohne Wiederspielwert. Auf dem Steamdeck (LCD) kam es regelmäßig zum selben Problem (flackerndes Bild). Deinstallieren und neu aufsetzen brachten mal was und dann wieder nicht. Die Anpassungen der Bildschirmanpassungen war nicht hilfreich (mal klappte es, mal nicht) und die Steam-Fehlersuche kam zum selben Ergebnis.

Super very smooth and relaxing game
