I used to play this a lot when I was younger on my phone. Its sad to see it shut down now.
I remember being quite young when starting this game on my IPad, around in 2012 or 2013 when this game launched I saw it on the app store and thought that this game would be boring, much to my surprise it wasn't, I loved this game dearly, the community (while somewhat filled with scammers in times square) was great, to my experiences I made lots of friends here and it's sad to see that the game has been shutdown, sadly I was not able to attend the final moments of this games life, but as I am aware tons of people miss this game, I included, I sometimes find myself sitting on the menu of this game to get nostalgic feelings just from the music alone, but i'm glad for the memories that were made here, including some of my first ever online experiences, though I will say as the steam version was super duper buggy, the mobile version of this game was significantly more polished, regardless of that fact, it still was a super fantastic game that I loved putting my time and effort into, from trading to grinding for gear, to earning the order of the crow, every moment was worth it, and I'd love to do it again, R.I.P Deepworld. Long lost but never forgotten.
Ironic that a game called Deepworld is mechanically so surface-level.
My heart still aches when I think of this. It died too soon, I wish we as a community could have gotten together and preserved it. I hope the developers are doing okay in their lives right now. Sincerely, Coolgamer15 apolgy for bad english where were u wen deepworld die i was at house eating dorito when phone ring "deepworld is kil" "no"
i miss this game so much ngl i still feel bad that i cant just install it again and play it even if i had to start over
An abandoned MMO. There's 3rd party software you can use to host your own server... but it's still an unfinished Early Access game.
"Deepworld" is a weak abandoned Early Access ripoff of Terraria, the developer pulled the plug 8 years ago and left this in an abandoned and unfinished state. It looks better than Terraria (not hard) but plays so much worse, it's shallower and less interesting, but that's normal for derivative works and ripoffs. The developers abandoned this 8 years and 5 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
