About
Our deep-level mining operations have gone dark. Deep Rock Galactic needs them back online at any cost. We’re sending in a crack squad of Reclaimers to breach and secure the mines, and kill whatever’s down there.
Your survival is not necessary for the success of this mission.
Step into the boots of the Reclaimers, Deep Rock Galactic’s elite corporate security force. In fast-paced 1-4 player co-op gameplay, you’ll fight through alien-infested mines as five playable classes:
GUARDIAN: The walking shield. An expert in area denial and close protection. Damages enemies with concussive blasts, and restores the team’s armor.
FALCONER: The aerial attacker. Deploys an airborne assault drone to electrify enemies. In an emergency, can even revive teammates from afar.
RETCON: The hologram berserker. Can warp back to a previous point in spacetime, restoring health and ammo to recover from dangerous situations. Lethal in all time zones.
SPOTTER: The marksman. Highlights and weakens targets with toxin darts, spots enemies through walls, and can deploy ammo crates for use in extended firefights.
SLICER: The melee expert. Carries an energy blade capable of dismembering all but the toughest opponents. Mobile, agile, aggressive.
No two runs are the same. The roguelike format means you’ll scavenge your weapons and equipment from within the mines, and collect resources to upgrade your gear and abilities. Choose from a deep pool of upgrades for your weapons and abilities, discovering lethal synergies and snowballing in power as you fight your way down to the Rift Gate.
Linger too long, and the Reaperworms will hear you. Explore each level of the mine for upgrades, equipment and resources — but remember that each stop costs precious time. Stick with your team, move quickly, and push forward at all costs.
Nobody said this would be easy. But death is only a setback. Dive, dig, die, and dive again.
Procedurally-generated caves mean every single mission gives a unique challenge of traversal and exploration. Featuring 100% destructible terrain, you can dig, carve and explode the caves around you to level the playing field. Fight your way deeper through natural caverns and enormous industrial structures.
These mines are infested with Corespawn: the most aggressive, resilient and intelligent alien life we’ve ever encountered on Hoxxes IV. 20+ different enemy types and 3 different bosses are lying in wait. Use whatever means necessary to eliminate them.
Between missions, you’ll find yourself aboard the RV-09 Ramrod. Here, you and your squad can access rich metaprogression and extensive character customization to bring into your next deployment. Lift weights, braid your beard, hit the dance floor, and have a beer with your team.

"OK" game, but falls short compared to the original. In my opinion, it's missing that 'fun' factor that the original had.
GET RID OF THE INVINCIBLE REAPER WORM (AND THE BOSSES SHOULDN'T BE INVINCIBLE EITHER)! It isn't fun to be instantly killed because you wanted to explore the map and collect all the things! More enemies spawn? Sure, give me the challenge! The enemies deal more damage? That's fair, I'll take the risk! Invincible instant death worm that punishes you for exploring? NO! That sucks so bad!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The bones are there, but the product is not. Whoever decided that multiplayer online game should have communal picking for a rogue-like/lite/survivor game is on some serious drugs. Nothing like getting interrupted constantly and having to wait up to 30s per person (especially randoms) to pick your abilities/weapons, and then possibly not even get anything that fits your class/build because someone else took it. Seriously... Who decided on that? Insane. Let people pick their own weapons and abilities from a shared pool (if you're so insistent on that) on their own class screens, and not make it a group project. Way too much time wasted in a mission, with all the different upgrade screens etc. Streamline this ♥♥♥♥. Armor and Healthpools are too squishy especially for the amount of team damage that can happen. When so many builds are explosive, fire, status damage and you constantly take it from your own teammates, it's infuriating.
A Great Spin-Off with Tons of Replay Value
I don’t really understand the negative reviews saying the game is too difficult. Rogue Core is not just more Deep Rock Galactic. It has a different focus and is meant to be more challenging. After playing it for a while, the original almost feels like the vanilla version. The enemies are far more dangerous and genuinely creepy. Every run feels different thanks to the many combinations of perks, characters, weapons and equipment. I also like the stronger focus on survival. You have to decide whether you still have time to collect resources or start a minigame without risking the whole mission. These minigames give you useful upgrades for your current build instead of meaningless grind points, so they actually feel worth doing. There are still crashes, server problems and other stability issues, but the game isn’t finished yet and already has huge potential. I personally enjoy it even more than the original. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tougher Deep Rock experience with roguelike elements.
Rock and Stone!
I understand the negative/mixed reviews. The game isn't where it is supposed to be yet and the devs are listening and working on it to fix it. Tho the game has a quite a long way to go, from what i can see right now i really enjoy it. The characters are unique, you can mix and match their abilities later on. The only thing i dislike are the perks but they are changing that so who knows what that will become after a few tweaks and new additions. From what i can say, this game is good with lots of potential. Lets hope the devs can get that potential out!
I want to like this game. It's just not that fun. I'll come back in a year or so and see what's happened, if it's still around.
Updated after more playtime, it simply is a let down compared to DRG... I would like to explore but the constant ticking timer makes it so exploring is stressful rather than fun and the upgrades aren't rewarding enough. This is as a solo player btw, the music isn't as good as DRG, the enemies are way more annoying for solo since they constantly try to get behind you, cooper is Bosco but worse. The game on "standard" is way too hard at least for solo and you need to bring back recharging shields. Also Rogue Core basically made DRG in a state where it will get one update a year and thats it, that just isnt good honestly Found another issue, the elevator sequence when you have to defend it is way, way too hard for a solo person to do. It just gets destroyed over and over again and it takes so long to fix it so you just die while trying cause enemies are just constantly spawning
Half baked. Terribly weak implementation of rougelite features. Many other reviews say this but the final builds in this game are less exciting and less interesting than the builds you can start with in the original DRG. That's wild considering this is supposed to be a rougelite...
Joined a mission late and had no weapons. What.
