Good deck builder, it was satysfying to find the right deck composition to finish the game
Very engaging and suprisingly fast to play card game. The difficulty comes almost exclusively from the bosses, while the standard encounters are more like a puzzle game - You're given cards and items for winning them but you also need to carefully manage your HP and what cards you accept into the deck to then judge if you're capable of beating the boss yet, as the difficulty progresses and those small encounters become unprofitable. The game was made by two guys and while the it looks and plays well, there are also minor inconveniences like the often-poor translation from russian to english and minor non game-breaking bugs. I did really enjoy it and through some decision making it also became replayable.

"Deep, In the Forest" ist ein niedliches, forderndes und abwechslungsreiches Kampfkartenspiel mit Roguelike-Elementen. 2022 erhielt das Spiel einen neuen Grafikstil. Diese "Wiederbelebung" des Spiels finde ich gut und ich habe das Spiel dadurch noch einmal herausgekramt. Der einzige Kritikpunkt wäre: Ich möchte auch wieder auf den alten Grafikstil umschalten können, denn trotz des Aufwands, der ohne Zweifel in der grafischen Überarbeitung steckt, hat mir die "alte" Variante einfach mehr gefallen. Nichtsdestotrotz: Das motivierende Spielprinzip mit dem etwas meditativen, beruhigenden Charakter bleibt und hat meine volle Empfehlung!
This is not a game. This is a grindfest. The balance is absolutely horrendous.
Lacks depth. Very boring and repetitive fast. Fights are boring. Cards are bland and seem like a lot of junk cards. I feel the game could have potential if the developers put more effort into it. Plenty of other deck builder card games that are much better than this one. Refunded.

There's potential here, but it's just not worth the time or the money in its current state. The translation is quite poor, and that makes card descriptions difficult to understand. The art style is good, and there's an intriguing card combo system, but it's just not fun. It needs work.
Yes, it's not great actually. But also it's not bad. Worth the 1 Euro i paid. And worth to spend some time at the game. Cute graphics and decent gameplay.
Un bel deck building. Non bisogna farsi scoraggiare dalle prime 2 , 3 - 500 sconfitte perché bisogna un attimo capire come e quanto esplorare, del resto come tutti i dungeon crawler. I primi boss fight vi faranno innervosire. Vi sveglierete nervosi , tratterete male i vostri cari e se insisterete nel giocare prenderete una pausa dalle vostre mogli , però alla fine riuscirete ad arrivare a sto cazzo di castello ed anche a completare una seconda run per scoprire il finale alternativo!
