Decisions is not a game, it's an abandoned and incomplete Choose-Your-Own-Adventure e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". To answer that question: When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. The writing here is laughably poor high school dropout stuff with spelling mistakes and sloppy grammar... it's evident this was never a serious attempt to make a game, it's more of a joke. Spending $100 to dump a joke game onto Steam at least shows financial commitment. This E-book features Choose-Your-Own-Adventure elements where you make some decisions that don't do anything to change the fact this is just an E-Book. Nobody finished reading a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book and said "Boy, what a great game I just played!". Because E-books aren't games. And neither is this. The Choose-Your-Own-Adventure is themed around a hurricane attacking a small town that was walled off and sealed off in 2023 to prevent the further escape of garbage E-book pollution, it was considered a small enough price to pay. There's only one chapter, it takes roughly 60 seconds to skip through the crap writing and hit the end. Additional chapters were planned but never happened. The joke nature of this "game" shows it wasn't sincerely developed with genuine intentions. The E-book was abandoned roughly one month prior to public Early Access launch and hasn't been updated in around 4 years. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. It will ever be completed, which is a reason for gamers to avoid this. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality game seriously, and for good reason. Unethically, the developer sold keys to this abandoned Early Access joke "game" into cheap, nasty game bundles, where they knew it would be advertised and sold as a complete game. This seems to have been done in an attempt to mislead gamers into buying a knowingly faulty, defective and incomplete product. When a developer does this for a game they have zero practical intention of completing, this is essentially a scam, an intention to get paid for a broken/unfinished product. Often this is done as an exit strategy, as the developer takes the money and runs. No refunds have been given, the developer kept all the money they took from gamers. Decisions is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), and because this wasn't sincerely developed, this is impossible to recommend.
