This is just an area where people can meet up to play paintball. It's the biggest waste of money I've found on Steam. No one is there and the movement gave me motion sickness, which hardly ever happens to me. Stay away from this one.
Having been born after the JFK assassination, I only know, aside from the basic historical account, that the event deeply impacted my parents' generation. As I also have friends who live, or have lived, in Dallas, this was a chance to learn a bit more about this historical event and familiarize myself with the area. There's a lot of empty lots waiting for construction in this early-access game, but what I've seen so far is impressive in how it gives you a sense of place. There are lots of buildings and structures, nicely detailed and textured, and the finished areas look very polished and complete. I feel as if I could get around the real location by spending enough time here. A nice extra touch is the built-in paintball game. Squeezing the trigger on your left hand fires the rocket nozzle you're holding, which takes you up in the direction it's aimed. You can use the gun on the right to put paint splats on the scene elements and any friends who join you. I especially love the flying, as it makes it easier to get around the large scene fast and gives it a fun, freeing 'Matrix' feel. If you'd rather stay grounded the left joystick can be used to drive around instead. There are some glitches of course. At times the scene will fade out or the giant labels that hover over points of interest will vanish, and walking into the wrong building will get you stuck inside or falling through the ground. Also, some will think it an odd choice to put a shoot-em-up game in this setting. Dealey Plaza Paintball is an ambitious, well-constructed game with an informational basis that shows lots of promise. I look forward to seeing how it develops and expands.
