This game seemed interesting and so I decided to give it a try. At a $3 price point I wasn't expecting much but it definitely didn't deliver. It could have been something cool but instead was annoying to play to say the least. Issues with the game: -Doesn't provide enough information during the tutorial. Several times throughout the game I was left wondering what interactions did what. There just isn't any clear instructions. -Some runs are blatantly unwinnable. There is no counter play to be had. You literally spawn in and are faced with multiple enemies with no weapons or survivors with enough health to do anything. You literally have to reload until you get a somewhat playable sequence of events. -Putting weapons on survivors doesn't really do anything. You would think that they would add the survivors attack to the weapon in question but no, they just take the weapon damage. Therefore if you put a 2 damage weapon on a 5 health survivor they do 2 damage instead of the 5 they would have dealt without it. Why that makes any sense is anyones guess. -The idea of the game is to run out the deck and get to the final extraction card, however if you draw the next location you are forced to go there as the draws stop. Why is there no way to continue fighting at one location to thin the deck if you have a good setup? Just doesn't make sense as to why you would be forced to a new location which could have nothing to aid you and could be terrible draws? Again it makes the game feel unwinnable in a LOT of runs. -There is no glossary or index of what cards are available and what they do. New cards are just thrown into different levels without any real explanation, forcing you to just figure it out with an already terrible RNG system. Shotguns and grenades hit multiple enemies but is that listed anywhere? Nope. A lot of things just feel like afterthoughts. Ultimately, I didn't have high hopes for a $3 dollar title but honestly save your money and buy a coke or candy bar. At least you will get more enjoyment from that then playing through this terrible game. Again, had potential but was ruined by the lack of any forethought whatsoever.
Very fun little zombie themed card game. Once you've made it through the campaign scenarios, there's a freeplay mode with random settings(which you can also set yourself) for infinite replays, perfect coffee-break game.
Survival horror meets solitaire card game. Funny, quick and addictive.
Pros -Neat little idea for a card game. -Nice and simple combat; bigger number beats smaller number. -Cheap Cons -Equipping a weapon to a survivor doesn't make sense. Shouldn't the number on the weapon card add to the survivors strength? -Health is randomised on each run. -Winning is heavily dependent on drawing the right cards at the right time. -Uses AI art, apparently. -Guns, no matter the enemies health, always use all of their ammo. -Ammo specific to different kinds of guns. I feel like in a game as simple as this, generic ammo applicable to all guns would work better. -Attacking a zombie leaves the player character and survivors with ongoing damage, dealing 1 damage each subsequent turn. Given the rarity of healing items and the randomness of drawing weapons, often leaving you with just the survivor and the player character to attack with, this seems imbalanced. Additionally, I feel this unnecessarily complicates the nice and simple combat. Someone else could take this concept and make a better game.
Pretty cool card game with zombie apocalypse concept. Controls are pretty simple and straightforward. IMO the cons about the game is the use of AI to create the art, and a few of the mechanics that could be improved (for example allowing a survivor to change weapon, and not to spend all the bullets for an enemy with lower health). Overall it was a fun experience.
シンプルで非常に面白いです。 英語がわからなくてもYouTubeでプレイ動画を上げている方がおられるので、それを一度見ればルールもすぐにわかります。 せっかく面白いゲームなのでもっと認知度が上がるといいなと思いました。
game literally was beaten in 1 hour for 3 bucks this is worth it there is so little content in this game
this game was fun for the first bit, then down to the last lvls its all luck and i was trying for 15 min i still cant beat the game on the last lvls.
Game is fun and simple, could be improved with perhaps the campaign being more linear and progression continued to the next level, instead of each level feeling separate from the last! The free play once you complete the campaign is the best part, but after a few rounds i see no reason for players to continue playing, perhaps implement some challenge modes or a daily/weekly challenges, yaknow sumthin for the people to want to come back to play, make the difficulties unlock-able? just thinking about player retention... my single only real gripe was like whats the point in equipping your allies? i feel like it made them worse in some scenarios... Overall i loved the game and feel like there could be minor improvements to make it a great game 9.7/10 would recommend for a couple hours entertainment!
This game is as simple as you see it. You play cards away by using weapons, killing enemies or having other survivors being killed, for your sake :). Stack ammo, search lootables, empty guns, drag an occasional puppy or baby along... You fight your way through a couple of locations. Every location has a couple of draws. Having one card on top triggers the row being refilled. You can trash some unwanted cards. I've been playing on Steam Deck through the whole campaign. I crashed three times, each time double clicking searchables. Apart from that, it played very well. Yes, the cars are very random. Sometimes you'll have to restart after getting your first draw but it's quite OK. I only had two or three levels I had to redo quite a couple of times. I really didn't mind either because I found the game quite fun. It has a couple of minor issues and some things might not be so clear... Maybe they implemented some of real life unpredictability... As once, I swore I got killed by a co-survivor after I gave him a weapon. I couldn't help thinking about The Walking Dead and the cruelty of survival :) All in all, I enjoyed this game and there's still the free play now where you can choose or randomize your own game length and items and such. So yeah, thumbs of for me. it definitely has its vibes!
