A well done wave shooter, well priced. Graphics look nice - the sand worms could use a little work visually but the standing monsters are great and scared me for sure. The companion who helps would be better with an actual voice I think... the guns responsive and aim is natural.
For a one-man-project, this one is a very solid and action-packed shooter. The graphics are nice and perform well. Enemies look great and are well animated. I did have some performance issues with the shooting range, but running just a GTX660 I can't really complain about that. The main menu works - it is different from anything I've seen so far: you grab the items, and if you hold an item with two hands it will activate. For selecting a game mode or loading your savegame that is reasonable and is actually fun to use as it somehow adds to the atmosphere. The weapons aren't as intuitive/realistic to use as in other games like "Hot Dogs, Handguns & Hand Grenades", but everything is well explained and the controls are easy to remember, so it's not a big deal. It's a lot of fun to shoot. Aiming also works well. The Bitcoin thing may be weird, but I honestly like the idea of having a random difficulty multiplier that actually makes sense. So, +1 for that. My main suggestions for further improvements: - The animations on the companion. They are quite stiff and she's almost as creepy as the enemies, just in a different way. And I guess we can all agree on the need for a voice for this woman. - More variety. Yes, every wave is different, different enemies have different strengths and weaknesses etc, but I'd love to see more variety in their visual appearance, and if it's just their color. - More weapons. You can never have enough weapons. - And last but not least, maybe elaborate a bit on the story. While a game like this doesn't necessarily need a rich backstory, I'd still appreciate knowing what all of this is about and where these creatures come from and who cursed that place and why. Could be that I missed it when I looked away while the woman was telling me about it though... I recommend buying this game. It's fun and the developer has done a great job so far of making a worthwile VR shooter. However, be advised that this is more like an Early-Access title that isn't completely finished quite yet.

I received this game for free to provide feedback which is what I will do here. From the start. The skull menu is terrible. [strike]It's slow[/strike], clunky, and doesn't contribute to the game. The watch menu is better, I like how it functions. make the main menu more like this, or just put all the menus in the watch. edit: While speeding up the menu is welcome, I think the whole thing is misguided. A menu should not require instructions to use. It should be intuitive. The woman who explains everything to you is completely unnecessary and doesn't add to the game, It would be better to just throw up the control screen and a blob of text. The cryptocurrency references also do not add to the game. Linking difficulty to crypto prices is completely ridiculous. I've been involved in cryptocurrencies for years and this is just embarrassing. PLEASE take this out. [strike]The enemies that I saw during my brief play though were boring. Pretty standard wave shooter fair, faster weak enemies and large slow bullet sponges. Nothing particularly inspiring. The balance needs work [/strike] Edit: After some explanation from the dev and further play through, I realized this wasn't quite fair. The enemies do have soft spots and a lot of work has been put into their design and animation. The gun model looked good, was positioned at a realistic angle in hands and was easy to aim. Well done, many games get this wrong. The realism is better than many games, but still needs some work. Look at a game like BAM and do it like that. If the pistol is reloaded with a bullet in the chamber, you should be able to continue shooting. If the gun is empty and the slide locks back, then a button push to release is good. The same button should not be used both for mag release and slide release. A manual slide racking to load the first bullet is also a nice touch. I would also prefer an ammo bag on the side to grab magazines rather than in the center, It’s awkward to grab mags from there. Edit: The slow motion effect when almost dead also needs some work. It is very OP. It is too slow and causes to gun to have unlimited ammo. I assume that is a bug, It also looks funny because the gun glitches and the slide is all the way back while firing. TL:DR [strike]I don’t recommend buying this game.[/strike] I recommend buying this game if you would like to support a solo dev who is learning game design. In its current condition it is not up to par with other VR wave shooters. This game is being made by a young solo dev who is learning how to build games. He is responsive to feedback and bug reports which is more than I can say about many other devs in the VR market. I hope my feedback helps him to improve in his craft.
Best VR Wave Shooter with Nice Story,Realistic Guns Reloading & Aiming,A Must Have Game,Damn Those Creepy Wormsss
[u]Neutral recommendation only![/u] I bought this game when it wasn't free to play. I wasted $1.19 USD. I guess I could have done worse. I'll say one positive thing about the game: it looks nice. It really does, even for 2026 PCVR. It looks miles better than most recent VR releases (sadly). However, at the end of the day, it's just a cover wave shooter. I could play this game. However, I choose to play something better. I can't recommend this game. It's just out-dated now as far as the gameplay. Although it says you can move via smooth locomotion, it's not really true. It's nodal teleportation. No smooth or snap turn. You room-scale move around nearby cover. Enemies just spawn. You shoot them. Until you get bored. Which was after like 10 minutes for me. If you have nothing better to do, sure why not. It's free now. [b]Rate 5/10. I would have rated negative if they were still charging money for this.[/b]
VR at it's best. Amazing that this game is made by only 1 guy. About the game : - Everything is so detailed your mind plays tricks on you, from the guns to the enemies even the surroundings. Once my brains thought the rock I was hidding behind was so real, I thought lending on it with the result I smacked my face onto the ground :-) - Shooting and aiming is also very accurate. If you aim right the enemies die a lot faster! - There are some really creepy ennemies that give you the chill's if they sneak up to you from behind. - Without giving to much information, near the end of the game there is a scene where I constantly had goosebumps all over my body and my heart was racing like never expierenced in games before. - The shooting range is a big plus, so you can test and see which guns the developer has prepared for you. - Bitcoin multiplier is a cool feature, even a little bit more for the guys owning some crypto's, when they experience the game is more difficult they are earning money :-) - Auto/Manual reloading option add's variaty, realism and difficulty to the game. - There are difficulty levels for everybody, from easy to very difficult. - A save game option gives you the opportunity to stop for a while so your heartrate can return back to a normal state after pumping you up. Tips : - If possible maybe try and add a multiplayer feature, so you can play against your friends - Keep on updating so the game get's even better! I really recommend buying this game as it is a game you have never played before. Every VR enthousiast should buy this game as it is very sharply priced! Taking into account that it is developed by one single person is just amazing!!! Thumbs UP!!!!
Having a blast with this game! The weapons are well crafted and feel real. Mastering the "realistic reload" requires solid hand-eye coordination and honing your signature reload combo is pretty satisfying :) Doubly so with dual weapons. The shooting range is great training to make those skills battle worthy. Whereas a lot of shooters nowadays are too easy, Deadly Criptids is challenging in a nostalgic old school way. The onslaught of monsters pushes you to be fast and agile, no exceptions! Taking cover is fun and when fireballs explode against your cover it’s a spectacular experience. The creatures themselves are nicely drawn and provide some heartfelt scares. The story is lightweight with some humor for good measure. The compagnon chick could use a voice though. Graphics are detailed and performance is top notch. The bitcoin difficulty is something fresh :P Overall, a fine indie shooter with excellent value for the price
