I mean, this was one of the first games I've had ever owned for the 20 years ago. I didnt even know what was a strategy game back then. And i am surprised to see this game still holds pretty well to this day.

great classic.

This was one of my favorite games growing up in the 90s. I started playing it again on Steam and I'm getting hooked on it all over again, even in all it's low-res glory. It may be ugly to look at on a current day setup, especially on a wide screen, but you can't convince me it isn't one of the best turn-based colony management games ever made. It's a fun, simplistic, but also surprisingly deep strategy game with a big selection of unique aliens to choose from. It's a humorous twist on the 90s Civilization template. IMPORTANT: To make this run on Steam in Windows, you must download an updated ddraw.dll and place it in the installation directory. You can find this advertised in the community forums here on Steam. Find and use this EXACT version: DDrawCompat-v0.3.1. Do not follow advice to modify the game .exe file or add launch commands within Steam; this will end in sadness.
