A fun little twin-stick shooter with simple base building, inventory and character upgrades
This is a fun short game (I finished it in 3 hours) made by a single dev. It's cheap so I think the value is alright. The character gains experience points for killing enemies and achieving certain goals. Upon level up you receive skill points for upgrading one of the many skills. There are different real-world weapons that you must find or buy, armor, equipment (gas mask, lighter, night vision goggles, crowbar...). There is also a simple base building/crafting system. As for cons - you can't rebind keys and death is meaningless - there is no punishment for in-game death whatsoever, you respawn back at your base with everything you looted in your inventory, healed and fully fed. Also it seems that the author meant to make the game bigger. The tutorial mentions various active abilities and there are even two active slots, but throughout the whole game I only found one ability. The other slot stayed empty until the end. Overall this is a small game with good ideas worth its price. I would like to see a bigger game, with more choices, more maps, and a stricter resource management.
In this video I take a look at Dead Quest a top down survival shooter. I found this game to be fun but it sometimes boils down to dumb luck as it will occasionally throw debuffs at you making a level very difficult. That aside it's really good for it's $5 price category and well worth taking a look at if you want a fun but sometimes challenging time. Watch the video to see what the game is like..... https://youtu.be/4w2aU1AuGzU Check'n Games, providing you with as many Let's Play's as we can. Thanks for watching. Great game! Love the gameplay and awesome music, im suprised and amazed at the skills and levelling system to.. looking forward to playing this again tonight!
Have only played about 10 minutes of the game, and would have to say this is one of the best indie game's i have ever played you can tell the developer has put a lot of time and effort into this game. Cant wait to sink hours into this game
Very fun and entertaining game. Good value for $5
With a good variety of maps, weapons, and progression mechanics, this kept me entertained for several hours. I think $5 is a great price point for what you get.
Dead Quest is a really fun little arcade like TDS. You collect keys and map pieces to lead you to the final boss. There is a bit of survival gameplay where you go to maps to collect supplies, weapons and ammo and you can even trade these to get more useful items. There are a lot of maps to play and even a survival gamemode where you must survive as long as possible. Overall the game will probably keep you entertained for about 4-5 hours. I've clocked in 4, and another 2 before it released on steam and still come back to play at times. A movie ticket costs you 9 dollars and keeps you entertained 1 hour and 30 minutes, so when comparing it with that, id say its definitely worth it. Also the developer takes feedback seriously and works hard to keep the game updates flowing in and improving the game - something rare among developers these days.
a good simple game. definally worth the 5$ even though its short (about 2 hours) it was still pretty enjoyable to play.
