Хорошая игра как и в целом серия , кто играет тот поймет
Dead Island 1 but slightly worse in almost every way. 10/10
Waves hide hungry jaws Hope drifts through blood-soaked islands Survive one more tide
its ok......ish...?
Better than the first 1 i give it about 6.5/10
I am not a big fan of games’ soundtracks, but this one, it’s something else. I played this game and finished it back on PS3. Sure, the gameplay for me at the time was what got me hooked first, but the first time I pressed the pause button, the track “No Stars Out” started playing. I couldn’t resume playing before the track is over. It filled me with a sense of ambiguity and intrigue, a sort of ambient dread. It felt like ai was waiting for something to happen, but what would happen? I paused the game. You can feel the same intrigue in Dying Light’s “The Following”. The genius behind both games is the Polish Composer Paweł Błaszczak. Paweł, if you ever come across this review, thank you for your works of art. Your music is second to none. And thank you Techland and Deep Silver for the Definitive Editions, these games deserve all the love they can get.
I cannot recommend this game to anyone prone to severe 3D motion sickness or sensitive nervous systems. This game locks an unchangeable vertical camera bob into every walking and running animation, with zero accessible in-game options to disable this relentless screen shake. Even classic games like CS 1.5 with completely stable camera movement left me mildly dizzy after extended play, yet the constant up-and-down bouncing in Dead Island Riptide triggers far more intense physical distress, far worse than deliberately shaking my head. Within merely ten minutes of playing, I suffered severe nausea, throbbing migraines, and obvious nervous system discomfort; the unending visual oscillation disrupts visual balance and triggers overwhelming sensory overload that lingers long after closing the game. The developers prioritized superficial "cinematic realism" while entirely disregarding players with motion sensitivity. Releasing a title with no toggle for persistent camera sway is deeply inconsiderate and negligent toward people whose nervous systems cannot tolerate continuous visual jitter. Though the zombie setting, plot and graphics have merit, the mandatory, unremovable screen bouncing single-handedly destroys all playability. Avoid this game entirely if you experience motion sickness, sensory sensitivity, or nervous system reactions to unstable camera work.
It's weird. Logically I shouldn't like Dead Island 1 and Riptide. It's very clunky for todays standards, some animations are bad PS3 era quality and balancing + hitboxes are a joke. But the atmosphere and the exploring still make me like it. Story: 3/10 (It's even more basic then the main game) Gampelay: 5/10 (hitboxes of some elites and the throwing zombies are a joke, melee has bad hitboxes, but shooting is old fashioned but fun) Graphics: 6/10 (Some enviroments look good) Sound: 7/10 (atmospheric sound is sometimes guite good, music is basic, voice actors range between good and quite bad) Price / content value: 9/10 (For 19,99 € or often less then 5 € at sale you get a 20- 30 hours campaign and coop replay value) ____________________________________________________________________ final verdict: 6/10 It's a atmospheric zombie game which I recommend to get at a sale. Then it's okay experience for the money.
Pretty fun, gave lil lore to add onto the DEAD ISLAND game, I'm excited to play DEAD ISLAND 2.
