About
After losing everything, you accept an unrefusable offer from a casino you swore you'd never return to, only to find yourself in a sealed room on a shaky deepweb livestream, masked players breathing through broken voice modulators as an unseen audience watches every hit, stand, and split, because winning isn't about reaching 21, it's about outlasting the table, the pressure, and whatever's waiting just beyond the camera.
Think you know how to play Blackjack?

3. High Roller No tricks, no games. Just a grandious Blackjack player blessed with fortune itself. Luck follows his every move.

Reviews
Pretty cool game, premise and a loving artstyle! A short and captivating game loop with gimmicks that change the way you play each round, the game has a lot of potential and I'm excited to see what future updates will hold! I wish a few aspects of blackjack were kept in (like Aces being worth 1 or 11, or being able to split cards), but it's fun to see how the game works around the lack of those features. I very much recommend this game for anyone who is searching for a good and casual (despite being psychologically thrilling) game to play through.
Jogo mt divertido , com um background muito bom , so o filtro que tem de ser reduzido ja que interfere na visualização das cartas adversarias
NEVER hit on 17
Dead Hand takes Blackjack and does what buckshot roulette did to russian roulette: it strips the game down to its core and rebuilds it around pressure, atmosphere, and psychological stress. You're not here to just to hit 21, but you're also here to survive the table. The setup is simple but effective. You've lost everything and accept a deal that drags you back into a casino you said you'd never return to. The twist is that it ain't a casino floor, it's a sealed room, streamed on a shady deepweb broadcast, with masked opponents and an unseen audience watching every game (there is a visible chat in-game) And the retro aesthetic fits perfectly, I love it. It's gritty and avoids overdesign. Nothing feels decorative just for the sake of it. Mechanically, it's still Blackjack. The rules are easy to understand, and that's intentional. The tension doesn't come from learning systems, but instead it comes from making decisions under pressure, knowing that one bad card can end the run immediately. The story mode introduces three oponents, each built around a clear mechanical idea. The first one is just classic Blackjack, but with tokens that each have their unique mechanic. The second one is a blind guy. You can only see their cards. They can only see yours. Neither player sees their own hand, instead you gotta trust what each other says. It's a smart design choice because it doesn't add complexity, it removes information. Surely the most memorable mechanic in the game. The third enemy is just a normal Blackjack game. No tokens, no tricks. Just a smarter opponent. This is less about surprise and more about proving that you actually understand the game. The game has it's replayability due to its achievements (which was really fun to get all of them) and due to the endless/infinite unlocked when finishing the main campaign. Dead Hand is made by a single developer, and it shows in a good way. The game is focused, consistent, and doesn't overreach. Every system exists for a reason, and nothing feels half-finished. Also, a major multiplayer update is currently in development. This surely is going to add even more replayability and fun to the game. I am really excited to see how it's gonna come.
отвратительная пиксельная графика, карты невозможно разглядеть, надо тужится прям
The game is very good for what it sets out to deliver. Your goal is to draw a total number of cards that does not exceed 21, but is higher than your opponent's, basically a game of Blackjack (something that fans of Resident Evil 7 may be familiar with). There are no complaints about the graphics. It's not scary enough to make you afraid of the dark, but it's also a game with a high level of HUE to make you feel like a fairy, so it manages to leave an aesthetic impression. This game has no bugs. The most that has ever happened to me was that I had to force it to close using the task manager, and the game wouldn't reopen, but I believe that was more my Windows' fault than the game itself, so it's perfect in that regard. The game is worth your time.
