It was pretty good. I like that they are trying to change up some of the usual puzzles, some of these fell off the interesting path though and just went with easy. One time was doing one of these and if didn't want to do the puzzle could play mahjong instead. Now I liked that game! Artwork was really good and like what they did at the end with the insectitorium,.. I do wish that some of these games would fix the simple stuff like: Using a Regular Screwdriver for a Phillips screw, multiple times, or can't pull out a nail with a Claw Hammer, but can with a weather vane or a bottle opener. Or can't prop open a window with a sticks,.. but can an umbrella. It would be nice if they put a little more thought into these and maybe have multiple ways you could do something. I mean your trying to accomplish a task and that would make it a little more interesting. I know the object is to find stuff and accomplish in a certain order, but. Was unable to get this to work completely in Proton so probably won't work on the Steam Deck.
Domini Games, I find, have always been one of the better producers of Hidden Object games. Great quality game with a good storyline and interesting mechanisms. I like that you got to play both sides of the story by switching between characters, and that both characters were equally active. Only real negative I found with the game was the bonus "find the witchy item" in each scene function. In a game in large part about witches, there were a LOT of witchy items and finding the object often involved randomly clicking on just about everything until you located the specific one you were supposed to click. I also find it amusing how unhurried the main characters were when trying to save other people. "Oh no, my returned ex is about to die in a fire! Better open my mail and play with my cat..." Ok, now that I think of it, maybe that particular example is a bit more believable. Was still funny though. I also like that this game forces you to stop and either play with or feed just about every animal you come across... 100%, would recommend.
Unfortunately this was probably the weakest of the series so far. The story is alright but nothing noteworthy. It's still not a bad HoG game, but be aware of a boring story
quit interesting some of the puzzles are a bit tricky so I skipped them but this gives me the chance to play again until I am able to beat them. Do like the game very much thank you'
love it.
Great game but then again I like these type of games so challenging.
Bought cheap as part of a bundle. Glad I didn't pay more for it. As HOGS go, this is average at best.
I put it on hard and they wouldn't give me a hint.
